Does anyone know where I might find a backpack style pocketbook? I have been looking for a while, and haven't seen any good ones. I am looking for a pocketbook that has backpack-style straps. I would like something that zips as opposed to something with a drawstring at the top. These were popular over the last few years, but all of a sudden they have become very hard to find. The only ones I have seen that were anything like what I want were at Target, but they were made of a very see-through mesh. I've had no luck at Target, TJ Max, K-Mart, Kohl's, May's Dept. Stores (Filene's, Hecht's, etc.).

My favorites are the Very Bradley Mimi style backpack bags. They are pricey but they last forever and are made to be very sturdy. I bought my first Vera bag for a Disney trip and wouldn't go without it now :).

Try this link http://www.verabradley.com. I think that the website might give you places to find the bags locally. Also, you can usually get them on Ebay more competetively. I wouldn't hesitate buying one gently used because they are made SO well that they don't fall apart. Worth the price IMHO.

Good luck :).

My sisters friend found an excellent one at walmart in the purse area just a few months back.

I found one at Wal-mart last year. I used it instead of a purse. At the time, there was only one left. I'm going to use it again this year. It has zippers and is not too big.. I found it in the purse section. Keep on trying they're out there. :flower:

YOu may want to check out Claires or Icing or one of those stores. I got one for a gift for a friend of my daughter, although it may have been the drawstring type - but work a shot.

Thanks for the tips! I finally found one - at Walmart, but the only two-strap bag they had was in bright pink w/ black - great price (under $7) , but my man said he wouldn't be caught dead carrying it for me.

But I really like the look of the Jansport half pint! I think I'm going to take the other one back, or use it as a backup - hey, at $6-something, I think I might be able to afford to keep both of them!

Thanks Again for the Great Tips!
