We are going in December with the Deluxe Dining plan. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge so I feel like we need to try JIKO since I hear so many great reviews about it. Also i feel like it is not one we would go out of the way to visit again since AKL is kind of out of the way if you aren't staying there. Right now the Signature meals I have are California Grill, Narcoossee's, Yachtman's, and Le Cellier. Would you keep those and skip JIKO or drop one of them and go to Jiko's instead? (if so which one to drop). It would be easy to work into any night's plans since we are staying at the AKL. We have 2 kids 9 yo DS who is pretty adventurous and 15 yo DD who is NOT adventurous. She is a steak and potatoes kind of girl so need to make sure the steak at JIKO is tame enough for her to eat.

I'd drop LeCellier. The place is a signature in pricing only. Service is sub-par compared to real signature restaurants, and the place is like a dungeon inside with very closely spaced tables. Plus, you're going to Yachtsman during the same trip, and Yachtsman is far and away a better steak house.

Your DD will not have a problem finding something familiar at Jiko. While Jiko bills itself as a taste of Africa, the items on the menu are very Americanized. Of course, this being a Disney signature, there is a filet on the menu if she's really only interested in "meat and potatoes".

Le Cellier is the one I was leaning more towards dropping.

Another vote to drop Le Cellier (especially if the choice is between Le Cellier and Jiko and I'm staying at AKL).

Either Yachtsman or Le Cellier, depending on my schedule. Le Cellier gets more of a bad rep because of what it's turned into but they still churn out quality food. Whichever one fit my schedule better is the one steakhouse I would pick but definitely not both.

Another vote here for dropping Le Cellier. You have Yachtsman as well, which is a far better steakhouse, IMO.

I would keep Jiko, my 18 yr old dd is picky and always loved Jiko as she could find stuff on the kid's menu that she liked so I would stay with that one and take everyone's advice on the Le Cellier.:teeth:

Definitely drop Le Cellier. It's not terrible, but I thought the food was too salty. It can't hold a candle to the others. Jiko is excellent, and I so want to get back there.

That's a great list and I'll echo here- drop Le Cellier. There's also Tiffins if you want to try another signature out your way.
