What is a really good price on a full size mattress? Not needing anything fancy, just a decent one. With the box springs? Is there a time of year that has the best sales on them? And where? Local shops, or Wal-Mart, Costco, national dealers ect. Ive got to buy 2 sets, so I need to get a great deal on them.

Paid $600 for the one we got 2 months ago. About the middle of the line. I did see a few at Big Lots for as little as $200. We also replaced our queen sized mattress this year. I guess they don't call the lower part a box spring anymore, it's is the "foundation" since there is no need for box springs anymore. Everything is contained with in the mattress, the foundation is just to set it on, and you can get about 3 different heights of foundations.

I just bought a full size set at a store called 'Ollies'. Kinda like a Big Lots. Don't know if they are all over and they just came to our area this past year.
Anyway, not a brand name, something 'Aloe Gel'?? Was priced $299.00. I had a 15% off coupon for applying for their rewards card so it made the set $259.00. I am so loving them!! And since I'm the only one sleeping on them, I think they will last quite awhile. The set I replaced was ancient.

I have always had good luck with Costco. We never bought a full size mattress there, but have gotten good prices for twin, and queen. This is the time they usually have more available.

We've had good luck at BJs, but do check your local mattress retailer. I went in and priced multiple sets and they were able to quote me a price that was less than BJs because I was buying more than one at a time. Do tell them the price you see at Costco, etc. as they may be able to beat their price. The regular sales person couldn't quote me a multi-mattress discount so do ask for the manager or supervisor; that's who gave me the price I wanted.

We've bought twin memory foam mattresses for great prices on Overstock. com

We'll be needing a new mattress in 2015, a CK size. I haven't gotten to checking out local stores but I noticed QVC had a TSV (Todays Special Value) on a really nice Serta with topper, a CK for $799! Included S&H and they take your old mattress and set up new one. They had all sizes and I don't recall what a full size was.

Just be aware that most places that sell even 'name brand' mattresses have them made/labeled just for them. A Serta (or name your brand) is not the same at every place - we found out the hard way and because a night's rest is worth the money spent, we went with a Temper Pedic memory foam 14 years ago and it is still going strong with great support and comfort - imitations are 'not' equal!!

We bought our previous queen set at Sam's Club for $500. It was on sale and wasn't top of the line, but it was a decent mattress set. A couple of years ago, we bought a memory foam mattress from a local furniture store that was having a year end clearance sale and we paid $800 for it, I think.. Might have been $900. Worth every penny! I want to say that the mattress was originally $1200.

I browsed in a nearby mattress store once (some of those mattresses were insanely expensive!) and the sales person told me to come back around tax time because they always have a big sale around then. I guess people get their tax returns and decide to splurge on a new mattress set! Come to think of it, that is what we did only we bought from a different store!

We hated the cost co memory foam matress. We returned it it is VERY hard for a memory foam matress. We prefer a softer surface. We got a bedinabox matress. We got the basic model with the cool gel and absolutely love it! Also they are made in the USA

following.............. We need a new mattress and have been looking. I have issue with my back and joints and muscles always stiff and tight. not sure what kind to get but ours is old and I know its not helping me.

Going to go back to Sam's and Costco and see what they have
