Trying to book 3nights csr and 4 nights atpop was told I would have to book 2 pkges with tickets and dining can someone help please how can I book this without a big problem or it costing me an arm and a leg

If you really want that split stay, buy the total amount of park days you want on the FirST hotel's tickets. For the second hotel, just buy everyone a one-day ticket. Save that one-day ticket for the future. You can use them in 5 years, and add days when you get there!

Costwise, that is probably the best you will do.

Oh boy, this is the first I've heard of this and we're doing a split stay in May 2007. We're staying at ASMo for 8 nights and AKL for 3. My parents are probably going to meet us down there over the weekend. If I buy a one or two day pass for our AKL package, could they use them? Would I even have them yet since they'll be there before we check into AKL?

When you have a split stay with the dining plan, you must have at least a one day MYW base ticket for EACH person in your party for each package. The tickets are on your room key and wouldn't be transferable.
Each package is separate... the number of credits on the dining plan matches the number of NIGHTS you're at the resort. 8 nights = 8 TS 8 CS 8 Snacks PER person.
Next stay is 3 nights so you will have 3 credits per service per person.. but will also need another MYW pass.. at least one day base.

The only way around it is to upgrade your first MYW pass (take your room key to customer relations at the front of any park.. be sure NOT TO USE YOUR KEY TO ENTER THE PARK!)... and upgrade that pass to the amount you will need for your stay.
The second set of MYW passes from your other package can be saved indefinately as long as you don't activate them. There have been occasions where the resort did credit the amount of the one unused MYW pass back to the CC if the customer requested it. I only know of one CONFIRMED instance of this.

Oh.. and you receive each MYW pass on your room key when you register at check in. You don't get them beforehand.

to the op... do you actually want two packages (room, tickets, dining plan)? or do you want two room-only ressies? or maybe a package for the first half of the trip and room only for the second?

we did the latter of those options the last time and it worked out really well... by the time we were on the last two nights of our split stay we were full from eating at all the great restaurants on the dining plan and were happy to go w/mainly counter service out of pocket... plus, the dining plan doesn't expire 'til midnight of your check out day at the first resort, so you can use those credits after you check in to the new resort...

also, you might consider switching your split... stay at the value first and the moderate second so it's not a 'disappointment' to 'downgrade'... and if there is a room-only code out you may be able to save money on the more expensive hotel (if you do the package 1st stay/room only 2nd stay scenario)

good luck and let us know if you have any more questions :)

The legalese on the back of the tickets say: "Must be used by the same person on any and all days". So Amps, your parents could use them.

For the second part of your question, it gets a little trickier. It's one of those "depends on who you speak to" situations. They CAN seperate tickets from a package BEFORE your check in date, but it's a tedious process, and not well known amongst cast members. Further, you have to do it at Guest Relations - NOT the resort. So, my advice is to go to Guest Relations - no more than FIVE days prior to the check in date on your reservation. If the cast member you speak to says it can't be done, politely ask for a supervisor. If you're STILL told it can't be done, be ready to pay for tickets there.
