NEED TO BANK POINTS by 4/31??

I purchased my DVC on Tuesday. I haven't received my paperwork yet and should receive it on Monday. By the time I return it, the 31st will have passed? Do I lose the 160 2007 points I received for signing on? Is it possible to bank them before they receive my signed paperwork?

If you purchased direct from DVC, they should make a one-time exception and allow you to bank the points. I'd suggest calling your salesperson to confirm.

If you are purchasing resale, DVC most likely will not make any exceptions.

If they already took a deposit from you, you may already have points available to bank. Check with your guide to get you member number. As far as the banking deadline, since your new I would think they would give you a grace period to bank your points. But call MS and go over that with them.

If purchased thru DVC directly, you should have no problem banking the points as already mentioned. You will likely get a call from Quality Assurance asking if you have any questions and also if you wish to bank those points - if you don't already have them banked in the meantime.

If you purchased a resale, you will likely need to bank them by next Wednesday, April 30.

I believe you may already have them available to bank. I bought an add-on at SSR yesterday. I told my guide how great it was that I got the points immediately (2 hours!) and he told me it works that way for new contracts as well. If you're unsure, call your guide.

This has me thinking too. We bought AKV2 last week with September UY so I should technically be banking by the end of this month as well, right? Do I have to bank those points even though I can't actually use them until AKV2 opens? Or this something that Disney will do automatically?

I also have a Sept UR. My guide suggested I bank right away unless I was booking a trip prior to Sept.

They will not be automatically banked. I'd urge you to contact MS and bank any points you will not be able to use.

I have heard of instances like yours where the person bought resale and was able to bank after the deadline this one time. It wasn't a matter of that you forgot - you couldn't. I have heard that MS has been very cooperative with this from other resale buyers, if this is your case, in the same situation. Good luck and let us know.

I too just purchased, my guide gave us the member number verbally on the phone and we were able to access the member site and speak to MS. In this circumstance with SSR UY Sept we have a grace period on banking but norally it would be 4/30. Our guide said they would be not penilize us for the late purchase and therefore the deadline would be extended.
