Need tips on florida keys

I am planning on going to Key West for an anniversary the end of November. Believe it or not I'm going to go to the Pirates in Paradise festival. Research for a book I'm writing.
What I need help with is picking a hotel or B&B. Who has been and do you have any suggestions. I hear parking is a problem and I should make sure I pick a hotel with free parking. I would also like to be fairly in the center of things, but since we are staying for 10 days I don't want the price to be too high.
Once there any tips on food, activities, etc...

Don't have any info on Key West (haven't been there in years) but Moresca has some great bodices that work well for Pirate women. In fact, I have one they call their pirate bodice, but I don't see it on their online store.

I want to go to Pirates in Paradise, but it was either that or Disney, and Disney won.

But have fun!!! Go see the Crimson Pirates perform!

Have you ever been to Pirates in Paradise. I'm really excited about it. I, too had to pick between this and Disney. I will do this and maybe drag one of the kids to Disney later in the year.
If you've been, tell me how you rate it. How do you pick what events to sign up for.

No, I've never been, but one of my friends is in the Crimson Pirates. I'll ask him about stuff. It may be next week before I get to talk to him.

Have you been to No Quarter Given? They have reviews from the past couple years. Also, tons of links for all things piratical. (Is that a word?)

I really would love to go. I know it's not til Nov, but please post about it when you come back. I'd love to hear your review on it.

Can I ask about the book you are writing? Is it fiction or historical?
