Our plans have changed (surprise surprise :lmao:) and we are now going in November and want to stay late at HS the one night they are open until 10pm...I currently have dinner ressies at Narcoossee's at 5:35pm

Do you think we can have a nice meal and still make it to HS with plenty of time to see the Osborne lights and have fun (not really interested in rides and shows but want to wander the streets and have a hot chocolate :goodvibes)?

Or do you think I should cancel the dinner ressie and try for something in HS?

i think you should cancel if you can at eat at DHS. it's fun to watch them light it up at 6pm. with narcoosee's that could take 2hrs or 1.5 plus the time to walk, wait, and get bussed to DHS, then enter, etc. Why feel rushed? 50's is great for dinner.

Let me throw something else at ya :goodvibes

Would you cancel Artist's Point and move your Narcoossee's to that night so you could enjoy HS? If you couldnt get a TS in HS for that night what would you do or where would you go?

We ate at both Narcoosees and Artist Point last year. We made ADRs to return to AP this year. For me, I would not give up AP for Narcoosees. I realize this is a highly subjective question.

Before going last year I read all about how extra special it is to be at DHS by 6:00 pm to be present when the Osborne Lights first come on. We went one evening (despite the light rain) and got to see them first light. After a few minutes an announcement came across the loudspeakers something like "due to weather conditions in the area the Osborne Festival of Dancing Lights will not take place tonight." Then all those lights went out. We had park hoppers and were able to go another night but did not arrive in time for the beginning. We had an incredible time anyway. Our daughter always phones us on Sunday nights and she called while we were in the midst of the celebration and sound of "Feliz Navidad." All my DH could do was to tell her that we would call back in a little while when we got to a quieter location. It really is very beautiful and festive whether you are there when they first come on or later.

BTW, the day we went in the rain we carried wraps from Earl of Sandwich (purchased in DTD earlier in the day) to eat at DHS. We ate them in the general food court area near the entrance to Fantasmic. There are tables with umbrellas there.
