I've been looking around online, but I'm having trouble getting the information that I need.

My extended family has decided to accompany us to Disneyland this year. My mother has specifically requested that I find her a suite. They need a hotel that has suites that will accomodate 3 adults and 2 children. The children are both under 5, so a hotel near enough for naps would be appreciated. My father and brother are smokers, so I need a hotel that is not 100% smoke-free. My father has trouble walking long distances, so the closer to the maingate, the better. Finally, we're trying to keep the cost at or under $100 a night.

I will be staying in PPH--my accomodations are already paid for, so I'm not switching. But if we can't find a hotel close to the gate, one that's close to my hotel would be our second choice.

I appreciate any and all opinions on hotels that might fit our needs!

<font color=navy>The Best Western Park Place Inn has mini suites, but without a separate bedroom - that is right across the street from the DLR.

My favorite nearby suite is the Residence Inn by Marriott. The Residence Inn is about a 10 minute walk to the park, but they also offer their own shuttle that will take you there & back.

Residence Inn by Marriott (Clementine Street)

Down the street on Harbor is the Embassy Suites Hotel South, which is a nice one, the Marriott Suites, and Residence Inn by Marriott-Resort Area.

We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn in December and it has mini suites with two queens and a pull out sofs. There is only a half wall between the beds and sofa. It was a fine place to stay and is the most convenient of all theoff site hotels for walking to the parks. It is also closer than 2 of the 3 Disney hotels.
For small suites you can try the Desrt Inn and Suites which is a few doors down from the Park Place Inn. They have small parlor suite where there is a small sofa bed in the "parlor" with a TV and a door to seperate it from the bedroom. Down a bit farther and around the corner is the Desert Palm Inn and Suites which has an older cection with small parlor suites and a large brand new section with rooms and suites. There are some small suites at the Anabella as well.
Here is a map that includes links to some accomodations around the parks.

daannzz--THANK YOU so much for that map! I've been having the hardest time finding websites for these hotels, and that map takes me right to them!

Thank you everyone else--I'm following up on every single one of these tips you're giving me!

You are welcome. I hope you find the right room to suite your needs and that the trip is a great one.

There's also the Tropicana Inn & Suites (stayed there two years ago and loved it :) ) and Carousel Inn & Suites (will be arriving there in one week!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ) Both are right across the street from the park (walking distance).

We stay at the Desert Inn & Suites. We love it because of the microwave, refrig, and the friendly staff. The pool is well unless you're really desperate to swim in I would skip it. It's like 1 hotel away from the cross walk to Disneyland and cheaper than Best Western. They have connecting rooms that they call Family suites I think. So, you can close the door for privacy and they give a continental breakfast free every morning...not the best though but it's free.

We also stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites. It's nice and right across the street from the main Disneyland entrance. But they have a parking issue you may want to consider before booking a reservation.

The parking is horrible. They do not have enough parking spaces for each room. There is a dark basement garage under the motel where they have tight parking spaces, and when that's full (and it fills up fast), you are directed to park as close as possible up and down the garage ramp.

They only give one parking permit per room, so if you're planning to get a large suite for 8-10 people, and planning to arrive in separate cars, you will only get a parking permit for one vehicle. Any car without the permit gets towed, and they will tow!

Returning late after visiting the parks, you will meet up with a parking attendant that will sqeeze you in where ever he can find room, sometimes two cars wide up against the hotel wall and fence. And trying to get your car out the next morning is a Disney Adventure in itself!

If you're planning to arrive via a shuttle from the airport, this is the place to stay!
