Hi everybody, I am going on a business trip to Montreal and would like to know the choices of staying there. The expenses will be considered by the company and I have the option of deciding a place there. The thing is that I would like to have something different than the usual hotel stuff; I would be seeking advice on other places that are luxurious and comfortable too.

if you're going to montreal in the winter, you want to be close by wherever it is you need to be..

if you have to be downtown, then stay in a hotel downtown...

if memory serves, you can get around montreal undercover (underground)..
unless i'm remembering toronto.....but i think they're both like that..

the main point, montreal is bitter bitter bitter bitter bitter cold in the winter...
colder than you can possibly imagine...
so you're not going to be walking around outside if you're visiting there in the winter...
it is C-O-L-D.....cold....really really cold...like siberian cold...
there is nothing protecting montreal from the arctic north....(i'm from michigan, where the great lakes offer some protection from the canadian cold...only a bit, but it makes the difference between winters in the teens and winters below zero fahrenheit)...

if you're going in the summer ignore the above..

Hey there, Archer and a very warm welcome to the DIS. As this forum is dedicated to planning trips to Orlando, I'm going to pop this across to the UK Community forum where I'm sure you'll receive some helpful replies. :goodvibes
