need suggestions on a hotel to/from Disney

I'm leaving from Pickering which is near toronto. We plan on driving to charlotte NC. We are planning on leaving around 4am and getting there around 5pm. Is this right? anyway we want to book before we leave and I need some suggestions on where to stop. We have never been before so we need lots of help. LOL.

We have no idea where to stay either way. I think Charlotte the way down where would a good place to stop around the 10 hour mark for the way back.

Please give me your favorite place/hotel to stop on the way to and from disney.

We will be taking the I77 through buffalo route if that help.

There are lots of hotels right near the highway in Charlotte.

check out tripadvisor. That way you can see the reviews and see the amenities that the hotel offers. I do this every year. Take care and happy travels Kat

A few weeks ago, we stayed at the Microtel in Rock Hill, SC which is a bit south of Charlotte. It was rated 3rd on tripadvisor in Rock Hill. We found it safe, cheap and clean with very friendly staff. We didn't plan on stopping in Rock Hill on the way back, but we were running late and we decided to stay there again. They were fully booked except for some smoking suites and the person at the front desk gave us the keys to the three suites to see which one was the least smoky.

OTOH, breakfast was very basic. The bath was very slow to drain, although on our second visit, they claimed to have had some pipe work done. And it's not in the coupon book, so some other hotels/motels in the area might be cheaper.

All in all, a very decent place to stay for a night.
