Need suggestions for somewhere to stay on Cocoa Beach. HELP!

Hello Everyone!

I am needing help with somewhere to stay with my family on Cocoa Beach. There are two adults and two small children. We are staying at WDW from June 30th and checking out on July 8th and then we want some relaxing beach time. We really wanted to stay on Cocoa Beach from July 8th until July 12th, to watch a test rocket being shot from Cape Canaveral. Do you have any suggestions?

We were looking at staying at Wakulla Springs Resort, but there are mixed reviews on TripAdvisor.com. I have also looked at renting a condo, but most only want to rent for a week, and I only need it for four nights. What is your advice or your suggestions? I am at a loss, and I have a short time left to get it together! HELP!

We stayed at Wakulla for one night before our cruise last year and thought it was very nice. We didn't use the pool, but the room was nice and it would have been great to have all that space if we were staying longer. The main part is not beachside, but there is a section that is closer to the beach, but farther from the main building and the pool. You probably know this already, but they used to be apartments so there are two bedrooms, bath, a living room, small dining room and a kitchen. All for the same price as a regular hotel room - cheaper than some!

I've stayed at Cape Winds on Cape Canaveral and the place was wonderful. We had a full suite, private kitchen, private balcony overlooking the water and got to see a shuttle land right from the balcony. We stayed there several years back so I am not sure if they do daily or weekly rentals now, but when we went it was only for a few days. It might be worth giving a call to check.
