Hi fellow dis friends! I'm wondering if anyone can advise me on a nice hotel to stay at in Niagara on the Lake. My husband and I were there 7 years ago and stayed at a nice B&B, loved it! A friend of mine is sending her parents there for a Christmas gift(to use in the future), and want a hotel that is nice, but not too ritzy, and does not require much walking. Her parents are in their early 70's and one has a bad knee. We've heard the Oban Inn is nice. Any thoughts??? :confused3

I like The Pillar and Post. It's not right on the main street area but it's within walking distance. It's now owned by the same people who own the Prince of Wales and Queen's Landing so I'm not sure about price point. The Oban is nice. It has a view of the lake. It's small and more of a true inn than hotel. Queen's Landing and Prince of Wales are beautiful but more the fancy hotel route.

When I was a teenager I worked at 'Donna's' Restaurant and Ice Cream Shoppe on the main street.

DH and I stayed at Pillar and Post and Oban Inn. Oban has some funky carpet that made him dizzy ( Its plaid) when we were on the main floor. But we both loved the food there.

Thanks for all of your help. We ate at the Pillar and Post back when we went, and love it. Thanks so much for your help!! :thumbsup2
