So we have been to the Crystal Palace and it was pretty good, but never to the Liberty Tree. Can I get some FB on this. Or should we high tail it over to CR and grab a steak?--HELP.

Our family likes LTT for the fun and atmosphere for the kids. We have only been to the family style dinner with the characters not for the a la carte lunch menu. The food is actually very good for what it is: traditional American comfort food. I loved the green beans they served. They were cooked to perfection with great color and nice subtle seasoning (too often green beans are stewed till they are mush). The meats were hot and moist. The gravy was very good and a little lumpy, but I have seen many photos with the same lumps so I assume they are intentional (going for the homemade/country angle???). Overall a good meal with a fun atmosphere. If you are looking for variety, you will not find it here though.

Hope this helps!

If you think you would enjoy the atmosphere and family style food at LTT, then go for it. We love the place and try to go there every trip. I highly recommend it.

I personally like Tony's Town Square. I ate there for the first time on my first night of my last trip. I had a great waiter, and I loved the atmosphere (especially the Lady and the Tramp fountain inside). Of course, thats also one of my favorite disney movies so I could be biased :goodvibes . We ended up eating there again a couple days later, and I think we're starting a new tradition because I made an ADR for the night of our arrival there again this year. :yay:

Hello!! I would 100% suggest Liberty Tree Tavern...it is an absolutely wonderful place to have dinner. Character interaction is fantastic, atmosphere is lovely, food is delicious!! Service is also very very nice. I did not feel rushed at all there and it was nice to be able to sit down and look out the window upon liberty square and fronteirland (we went in the summer but I'm sure that it is lovely for all times of the year. A wonderful restaurant and probably one of my favorites on property!

I'd give Liberty Tree Tavern a try. The food is served family style (like someone else said) so they bring out a giant plate with that really good stick-to-your-ribs kind of food: green beans, roast beef, (I think) turkey, etc. And the rolls are sooo good. And of course the characters are lots of fun -- I love seeing Minnie in her colonial attire! :thumbsup2

We only tried LTT for lunch but it was really great. I had the tri-tip sandwich which was quite good (needed a dab of mustard for dipping though). Service was fantastic and the atmosphere as mentioned is really nice.

Tony's Town Square was fantastic food but a little less on the atmosphere. We did get a really nice table in the back corner which was nice a quiet. I had the canaloni (sp?) which was absolutely fantastic and we both had the brule for dessert, yum yum.

If I had to choose again, I'd probably say LTT because it seemed to handle higher volumes better due to more seating and it was also more spread out which resulted in less noise. Food at each place was great though.

I would get on the monorail or boat and go to Kona

The only TS place we like in MK is CP

My DW and I have been to the Character Dinner and while it was not anything out of this world the food was good (think Thanksgiving style), atmosphere fun and the setting was nice too.
We are taking our DD in October and have a ressie for a MNSSHP evening, we can't wait.
You'll love it.

We love both and do both! CS and LTT are two very different atmosphere's though.
