Need Suggestions for Displaying Figurines

I collect a lot of different Disney items. One thing I collect are the older ceramic figurines that were made in Japan. They are all rather small and kind of get lost in the curio cabinet.

I am thinking that they would look better if I could display them at different heights. But I'm not sure how to accomplish this. I wouldn't really want the display part to show. Any ideas???

I also have this bug. What I do to display different heights, I use different Disney items. For example, I lay down some original run hard cover books and put the approiate "group" with that book. I have boxes from way back in the day when mugs came in their own pictured boxes - another group. Or you can use smaller boxes from wherever and cover them in scrapbook paper then you really personalize your grouping. Just some thoughts. Good Luck.
