We are headed to the world in May and having a hard time deciding stroller options. We are traveling with our 7 kids ages 18, 14, 12, 9, 3, 3, 10mos.
My 9yr old is can't walk long distances so we will rent him a stroller. My real problem is the younger 3. Do we:

-3 single strollers

-1 double(baby jogger brought from home) and 1 single brought from home

-Or just rent a double and bring single from home

We are staying at the contemporary and flying.
My biggest concern is how are we going to manage busses with strollers and kids.
Anyone want to suggest a good light weight stroller:goodvibes
I do have a carrier for the baby but with it being hot I'm not sure how long we will last with it.
Thanks for the help!

I'd bring your double and a single. It will make it that much easier moving through the airport as well as the park.

You have quite a few older kids to help out with the pushing and getting on and off the buses.

Pick up some large carabineer clips to add to the strollers. You can clip some water bottles or spray fans.

If you are going to be using the Disney buses, that changes things a bit. You need a quick and easy fold stroller - so I'd vote for getting a double stroller from one of the rental companies that deliver strollers to the hotel. They have it down to a science and know just which models hold up and fold best. Even though you have older kids to help, you have to be FAST getting on the bus to get a seat or even a good place to stand with the kids.

And you need an ultra easy to fold up single for your youngest. I tried to always be "wearing" my little one at the bus stop and for the ride and took my Maclaren Volo because I could fold it up/unfold it with one hand and my foot.

9 year old needs one - rental - ok. Rental companies will have larger strollers suitable for kids this size. Plan to use one of those companies (I've used Orlando Stroller Rentals), and they will deliver right to your resort. Don't just rent from Disney or you will have to carry your 9-year-old from Magic Kingdom gates to the Contemporary (or the resort Monorail station)...

3 year-olds - your Baby Jogger double stroller is likely same kind that most of the reputable rental companies use. Save your money (and your back) and bring it.

Baby - I think the real question will be, could the baby share strollers with the other kids? Carrying babies works great in airports and on the bus. And I'm sure your 9-year-old and 3-year-olds will not want to be in strollers all the time. Could they share in the parks, or is that not worth the drama? At the end of a long day in the parks, when everyone is hot and tired, do you want to carry baby? Would you trust your 9-year-old to hold baby on their lap while you push them out of the park?

If it were me, I would try to go with just the large rental stroller and your double from home. But I would also be prepared -- If I had a bad day at the parks, I would be ready to call the rental company to have another single delivered ASAP.

You know your family best. I'm sure you will make the best decision. Good luck.

I would bring your double from home for the 3 year olds.

I would consider renting a double BOB or the larger Baby Jogger that is available so you only have to deal with 2 strollers. We were there last week (low volume crowds) and it was DH and I and our 2 kids (2.5 and 6). I found it hard to follow him sometimes because of navigating people (who randomly stop in the middle of a walkway) - never mind having a party as large as yours!

The park strollers aren't comfy and you can't walk it out of the park (and staying at Contemporary you would likley want the stroller to get your 9 year old back - that is when you will need it the most!)
