We are planning on this next trip have a few questions..
My son has a severe peanut allergy but.. he usually tolerates foods well with no trouble as long as we stay away from peanut butters
Can some one who has been tell me exactly what is served
eggs, bacon potatoes, are fine ..
is there any strange seasonings..
we generally do not ask for a modified meal as he really has o learn to identify dishes he can and cannot eat etc... on his own (and for now with us helping) Thanks in advance for your help

allearsnet.com has menus for all of the WDW meals. You may want to call ahead to be sure too. But I think you'll be OK. :thumbsup2

My DS is also peanut and tree nut allergic and we ate at O'Hana breakfast in early Dec 2005. The only thing that we had to avoid was the basket of pastry items that were on the table when we were seated. They also had a plate of fruit which was safe and everything on the skillet they brought out was safe - eggs, bacon, potatoes, Mickey waffles.

We have avoided O'Hana's for dinner because of the peanut dipping sauce. With them going around with skewers of meat to other tables and then to ours I was just not convinced there wouldn't be cross-contamination.

Thanks thats teh info i needed we knew to stay away from dinner becasue of teh skewers and teh dipping sauce I just needed comfirmation taht the breakfast was indeed a normal breakfast of eggs etc.. I do know teh potatoes are a bit different but we will just try first and let him decide on his own he is only 6 but he has a pretty good peanut radar already....

On allearsnet I just see eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and buiscuits. Is there no fruit or Mickey waffles?

Yes there is fruit and Mickey waffles. The fruit is a mixed fruit bowl with melons, pineapple, grapes, and I can't remember what else. The Mickey waffles are the small ones, not the full size. Ohona is one of my faves.

My son also has a severe peanut allergy, but we have eaten at O'hana for dinner many times. They do not bring the peanut sauce to our table, so that is not an issue at all. The skewers of meat that are brought around from table to table never touch any sauces. The servers carry them directly from the firepit and distribute them.

You really should give it a try at dinner, just speak to the chef prior to eating, (as I'm sure you already do) and everything will be taken care of.
