Need some Tech help

I sent this question to the VMK tech group, but they just asked me if I had the basics...

I try to load the game, it says its updating, with little logos at the bottom "get Exclusive stuff"
Then says "Connection failed, connot connect to the the VMK Server, check your firewall/internet security settings."
Now, I have tried this twice, on different networks, One at work, ok there is a firewall....
And at home, no Hardware firewall, and my XP firewall has been turned off.
Any ideas?

I have tried both IE, and firefox, with the latest Shockwave, and plugins.
Running XP Pro, with 1.2G Ram, so it's not a memory issue.

its a generic error message that is worse than anything microsoft ever created. Just hit F5 once or twice and you will be all set.

clean your temp internet files, you probably have a corrupted game file in there, maybe wipe your cookies too.....

Ok, the F5 thing didnt work.. I will check all my settings to see if something is blocking access.... And do the temp file thing as well..
Strange that it happens on Firefox, AND IE.....
