Need some sympathy

Hi guys, as the title suggests, I need to have a bit of a mope. I've just found out that, after waiting for a couple of months to hear about it, I haven't got the job I've been hoping for for the summer. I was really hoping to get this, not just for the money, but also because it was on a project I was involved with last summer, and would really have loved to carry on with it. Instead it's been handed on to someone who knows nothing about it or its users. I'm really upset, because now I'm not sure whether I'll be able to take my mother to Disney as I had hoped. We both really need a break, and I was looking forward to spending some time just the two of us, but that might not be able to happen now. I hadn't told her about my plans, so at least she won't be disappointed, and there's nothing been booked yet. I'm just really miserable about the whole thing, and annoyed at the guy in charge for not being polite enough to let me know that the job had gone until I emailed him about it (for about the fiftieth time).

Thank you so much everyone, you're all wonderful! My main worry is that, because I'm in a wheelchair now, I'm a bit more limited in the jobs I can do. Oh well, hopefully I'll find something. Thanks again guys, you really have made me smile .
