Need some quick help on point transfer

I am buying a small amount of points on transfer from another member. How should the transaction proceed. Thanks in advance I have never gotten a transfer before

I learned about this first-hand recently.

The person who is getting the points has nothing to do with it! The member with the points calls MS, gives them your name and/or contract number and asks to have the points transferred. A follow-up written authorization is also required, via fax or mail. Then the points are fully yours. In most situations, I imagine the person renting would be required to give the transferring member some money upfront, because once the points are transferred it is final. HTH
