My DH is going with us. :goodvibes He has was able to get lots of work this week. I also told him it would cheaper to park the truck for a week since fuel is bound to go up with Hurricane Rita bearing down on the Gulf Coast. Thanks for all you pixie dust wishes! THEY WORKED!!!!

:sad1:

It is looking like my DH is gonna have to stay and work next week when we are suppose to be in Disney. He is an owner/operator and we had some major bills come up with the truck in the last couple of months. He is very adament about the kids and I still going, since it is my family grand gathering, I just don't know if I can go and have a good time knowing he is still here working and wanting to be with us in Disney. I have cried many tears over this. It has been one year since my mother died of breast cancer and this is a trip we planned in honor of her. She always wanted us to ALL go to Disney but the timing was never right and then she got sick. I know in my mind, it would be better for him to stay but I see it in his eyes that he is beyond disappointed. I don't want to be out the money on his park tickets, Universal tickets, and airfare. Should I just go and make the best of it or should I try and reason with him that if we can't all go then we all stay home? Any advice????

Sorry to hear your DH can't go. I think you should go if your DH really wants you to. The kids would probably be really dissappointed if you didn't go after planning it all this time right?

Oh, that is a hard one! Personally I wouldn't go if my dh couldn't go too unless he insisted to the point that I realized that is what he really wanted. I can see where I would rather my dh and dd go on a long planned trip to disney without me rather than all of us missing it but it would be so hard to be the one going. He'd have to really, really push me hard before I'd even consider it.

If he doesn't go with us then he won't go at all.

Have any of you had to leave a spouse at home and go? The best thing for us is for him to stay and work. But after the year we have had, this is a much needed vacation. Things have been extreemly slow at work for him for the past 2 months and all of a sudden things have picked up. Probably because the holiday seasons are coming.

I will know for sure whether he is going or not by Thurs. I have until 24 hours before our flight leaves to cancel his ressie and get just be out the $50 for the cancellation fee. I know the park tickets are good as long he doesn't use them but I don't know if we will ever get back again.

We will just have to wait and see if the pixie dust helps.
