Need some photo editing help please

Hi all...we recently went on a rafting trip and I have some photos from a disposable waterproof camera. Some are clear, some are sortof grainy, either from the movement when taking the photo maybe? or water? Who knows. Anyway, is there an easy way for me to make them a little clearer? I have adobe photoshop, but haven't used it too much. Thanks for any advice!

I'm a little confused by what format you have the pictures in... most disposables I've seen are film cameras... photoshop is for digital pictures...

I'm guessing you took the photos on a film camera and your unhappy with the results... if that is the case then most likely there isn't a lot of value in trying to fix the photos. If you wanted to try your first step would be to scan the negatives of the film into your computer... this is your first problem... good film scanners aren't cheap... what you describe would probably be best done by first having someone use a wet mount drum scanner to scan the film as it might very well disguise some of the grain.... The fuzzy that you describe is likely motion blur, if that is the case there are some photoshop plug-ins such as Focus Magic that are claimed to help some (frankly I find unsharp mask works just as well).... if it was caused by water drops on the lens then your pretty much out of luck.

In otherwords... trying to fix those images is going to get expensive.... if you were trying to find out who was on the grassy knowl then I would say go for it... if you're just trying to get a couple of better shots of mom or dad screaming in terror then I don't think it would be worth it.

I had the disposable put on cd, so I have a copy on my computer at the moment to 'mess with'. I don't expect it to be perfect, but I'm not really too familiar w/photoshop either, so I thought I'd see if there was any way to even slightly enhance them. Thanks.
