Need some "OFFSITE" encouragement!!

We have stayed both on and off site, and as many as pointed out there are positives to both. We have enjoyed both! Check out www.mousesavers.com. There was updated info on the Radisson if you need more info on your hotel.

Relax and enjoy!

Lisa P.,
Your post offering "OFFSITE" encouragement is as good a post as I have seen on these boards in a long, long time. You hit a grandslam homerun. If you have not had an opportunity to stay at Vistana Village, you would love it. It really fits the bill of the extra space and accommodation amenities that you referenced in your post and all for a very reasonable price, too . The loss of EE really has taken quite abit of the luster off of staying onsite for us and we are DVC owners.

Ah, Lisa P. is a fellow Marriott Timeshare fanatic if I remember correctly. Baileybrad, VV is right down the street from where I own ( Grande Vista) and although I have never stayed there, it certainly does look like an outstanding resort!! Both resorts are literally 10 min from all the parks be it Universal or Disney. Needless to say here's another vote for off-site.

We have made about 10 trips to Disney over the years, we started off-site and had a few really negative experiences with hotels not being anything like they were advertised. About 3 years ago we discovered POFQ and we were hooked for onsite-but mostly this hotel. We always rent a car so transportation is no big draw for us. About 18 mo ago we stayed offsite for a weekend before a cruise and really enjoyed ourselves, the price was great, the breakfast incl. was a big plus and it was about 5 min to disney. Since then we have done both including a delux stay last October, we loved the monorail access but boy the cost was huge. We were big users of early entry and were VERY disapointed in October for it to be dropped the very day we arived. the character caravan sucks, we see plenty of mickey and friends in the parks to satisify us. They closed our fav. hotel and shut down the boat to DD.
I started checking out the offsite board to plan our Sept. trip and found out about the New Country Inn and Suites, $54 a night, breakfast and only 5-10 min to disney. You can't do better than a brand new hotel.
We will find plenty of magic in the parks to suite us, we will have extra money to enjoy some nice meals in the parks and return to a comfortable hotel.
We will stay on-site again in the future but our September trip will be off-site and we will have a blast.

I didn't know this post was on here two times and I posted on the other one. I'll the same thing here. We enjoy staying off-site in Kissimmee. I can't see spending a lot of money on a room that you are only in for a few hours a day. You basically are just sleeping and shower there and maybe using the pool. We stayed at Hyatt Orlando in March($35 a night through Priceline), and we're staying at Howard Johnson Maingate E in May($29 a night through Dreams Unlimited). You just can't beat that. Enjoy your trip and don't let anyone tell you that you will lose any of the magic if you stay off-site.
Barry Hom-Which one star hotels have you stayed at for that price?
