Hello!
Fastpast day is coming up in only 2 days so I really need some input on what I have so far.

DH and I are going November 3-10 and we are staying at POP with 7 day Park Hoppers and Dining Plan
A few things before you read.... I have a lot of challenges like PTSD, ADHD, Epilepsi, Diabetes +++, and I have problems with my sight. I don`t see very well in the dark so going in to dark rides would be a small challenge... but ok if I get some help. I also have something on my eye (Cataratcs?)

Well... we usually try and get the DAS card, but I don`t like to use it if I don`t have to.
And sometimes I really do, but on our last trip I tried to use it as little as possible.

On top of this... I really hurt my leg this week and got a rift inside my leg...
I know I have 62 days to heal "LOL", but I know these things can take time (That`s what I have been told)
Right now I am jumping around on crutches (they are a bit different from the US crutches I believe?)
So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that my leg would be okey before our trip..
That was actually the first thing I thought of when i injured my leg...
"What will happen with our Disney trip"

So, here is my plan so far... Please feel free to give me some feedback.

November 3.
Leaving Norway and arriving MCO 6.55 Pm...
Check into resort and maybe eat something at POP or AOA before going to bed.

November 4.
ANIMAL KINGDOM DAY (9 am - 8 pm)
Try to get fast-passes for AVATAR and maybe EVEREST and one of the musicals?

We have reservations for TUSKER HOUSE (BF) at 9.50 am.

These are the attractions we really wants to see during this day;
Avatar, Na Vi River Journey, Safari, Lion King, It`s tough to be a bug, Finding Nemo, Tree of Life awakening and see Avatar land after sunset + ROL. (And some shopping)

I was thinking maybe dinner at Flame Tree Barbecue? OR Rainforest Cafe (I don`t have reservations there)

What SNACS are a "MUST" at AK?

ROL are at 6.30 pm that day... I am thinking no FP for this?

November 5.
We could do HS with the EMH in the morning and then take a break and go SHOPPING
Yes, I know.... to much shopping.. but we are from Norway and we save a lot of money shopping for shoes, clothes, sports things etc when we go to Orlando so shopping is a must...

I have dinner reservations for 50`s PRIME TIME (DH`s favorite restaurant) at 7.pm
Would that be to late if we want to see Fantasmic?

Maybe I should try to get some FP this day also.. we would be going back later in the week.

Things we would like to experience during this week is;
Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog (maybe), Walt Disney present, For the first time in forever, Mickey and Minnie staring in the red carpet, Beauty and The Beast, Celebrity spotlight, Indiana Jones, Muppets, The Little Mermaid. Maybe Fantasmic and some shopping.

November 6.
EPCOT (EMH 8 a.m - 9 a.m) 9. a.m - 9 p.m.

Be there in time for EMH and eat BF in the park maybe at Sunshine Season?

Try to get FP for Frozen ever after OR Soarin`
I have never tried to ride Test Track before, so it is not a "must", but it would have been fun to try.

Other things we would like to see are; Disney & Pixar Short film festival, Meet Disney Pals at Character Spots, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, Spaceship earth, maybe Turte Talk with Crush, and of course enjoy all the festivities at F&W festival and all the lands and some shopping.

We have reservations both for lunch and dinner.. need to cancel one at GARDEN GRILL
Lunch 1.35 pm and Dinner at 7.15

We would also like to hear Voices of Liberty and se Illuminations.

November 7.
BF reservation at BOG (MK) at 8.35 a.m.
Maybe spend the morning at MK and then some shopping

Try to get some of the hard to get FP... there are so many things we would like to see in this park.

Reservations for CALIFORNIA GRILL at 5.40 p.m.
Maybe go over to MK for a while and go back again to the Contemporary for the firework view since we had dinner there.

I really need some input on this day.

November 8.
We have LUNCH reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern at 1.25 pm and since we have tickets for MVMCP that night we would stay in the park after Lunch.
Maybe try to get some FP for the time between Lunch and the Party.

I am so exited for this party since it will be our very first Christmas Party ;)

November 9.
DISNEY`S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS (9. a.m - 8 p.m.)

I am not sure how early we should arrive the park this day...

We have both LUNCH and DINNER reservations for MINNIES SEASONAL LUNCH OR DINNER
(have to cancel one of them)

Lunch at 2.55 pm and Dinner at 6.25 pm.

We would like to experience all the CHRISTMAS THINGS at HS and of course see
JINGLE BELL, JINGLE BAM (I am also thinking about maybe adding the dessert party?)

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam would be at 8.30 p.m.

November 10.
Check out day...
We have reservations at BON VOYAGE BF at 11.35
(I am so exited because my show choir are working on The Little Mermaid JR musical right now)

I am not sure what we would do the rest of this day.... our flight back home is 8.25 pm.

After that I will go home and start planning my choir`s trip in June/July 2018. "LOL"
DD and I will be there before and after the choir trip also.

Thank you, best from Adèle Marie who is really stressed about FP day :)

I see that you have 7 day park hoppers, but I don't see where you are going to park hop. Just an observation. AK seems a little ambitious on the first day, but if the crowds are lower than I have seen my last several trips it may work for you. It looks like a lot of fun.

just a few quick thoughts: Get FPs for every day you are in a park, no maybes. If you want to ride Flight of Passage with a FP, you'll need an AK day late in your trip, maybe your last day? Safari is another good FP for AK - more valuable than a show FP. Festival of the Lion King is a great show, but you don't really need a FP.

Whatever 7am Eastern is in your time zone, grab FOP on Nov. 10 first, then Slinky Dog FP for Nov. 9.

At AK, Flame Tree is good, but Satu'uli Canteen in Pandora is very good and unique too. Don't go to Rainforest.

this shows some FP priorities. Figure out what you want to do and see which are most valuable to FP.

have a great trip!

IMG_1983.JPGI think Animal Kingdom fastpasses will be more likely on a later date. You may want to park hop from Animal Kingdom on a later date during your stay. You might not be able to get fastpasses for Avatar so early in your trip. Flame tree has good food. We love it there. Watching fireworks from California Grill is an awesome experience. The music is piped in on the viewing deck. Here's a pic from our last trip.Sounds like a great trip. I hope you have a blast!

It is going to be hard to get fastpasses for Flight of Passage that early in your trip. I would try for fastpasses for this ride 1st. And keep checking each of your park days. Maybe Nov. 6, and do Epcot on your 1st day.

I don't know too much about DAS card, but I would go ahead and get it. And if your leg is not healed by your trip, consider a wheelchair. All that walking at the parks could aggravate your "rift" (I don't know what a rift is)

Take your time and have a great trip!

I am the worst strategic planner on Earth so I won’t even pretend to advise on that adoect.

However: I plan to go all Nana on you in regards to the DAS pass. Get it. You are not taking anything from anyone else, this is not like booking a series of adr’s do you do not need to commit to one. This is a quality of vacation concern and it makes no sense to be in pain, suffer anxiety, or miss out because you try to tough it out.

Please know that you deserve to enjoy your vacation and Disney offers assistance in order to help you do so. I would head over to the DISabilities forum for tips from folks who have way more knowledge than I.

Thank you so much everyone for your feedback..
I will write back as soon as I have eaten my dinner (It`s dinner time in Norway)
Looks like I will have to do something about my AK day...
And maybe convince DH to hop some more...
We got hoppers as a part of our package and I will probably upgrade to AP when I get there because I am going back next summer :)

Just made my FPs this morning and I was able to get a Flight of Passage FP on Nov 4th. It looks like there are still some afternoon/evening FOP FP available that day, but I don't know if that will still be the case in 2 days. Like others said, you might want to switch your AK day to later in the trip if a FP for FOP is important to you.

Yes, I will try and get FP for every day we are in the parks.
I just got an 8.25 a.m reservation for Tusker House on November 4 and think that might be better than the original 9.50 since the park does not open before 9.a.m.

I could also try FP for Flight of passage on my last day... but DH is a bit worried he will not get me back in time for our flight "LOL"
Estern time is that "Orlando time"? We are about 6 hours before Orlando time... so 7 a.m. would mean 1. p.m. here in Norway.

I was not very impressed with Rainforest when DD and I was there last summer...
Maybe Flame Tree or Satu'uli Canteen would be better....

Last summer when I traveled with DD it was a last minute trip, and we din`t have time to plan at all... so, we ended up spending half the day at AK and
get to do Flight of passage (WOW... how did we do that?) and the Safari... nothing else... and we decided AK was not for "us"
Well, maybe I was wrong... and I really want to experience AK in the evening...
I have been planning and reading so much for this trip and I see I have been missing out on some really great things.
DH has not been to WDW in the last 7-8 years, so many things will be new to him.

He does not understand that we need to plan "everything".... But, I have learned the "hard way"
We are trying some new restaurants on this trip that I am looking forward to... like Tusker House, Liberty Tree Tavern, California Grill, The Bon Voyage BF, and Minnies Seasonal Dine.

50´s Prime Time is a MUST for us, and we have not been to Garden Grill in many years.
DD and I had a meal at BOG on our last trip, so I want DH to experience that as well.

Only thing I would like to try is a meal at The Grand Floridian (Cafè)

And NOW.. DH tells me... Maybe we should try the FROZEN dessert Party at Epcot... But no dessert party on November 6

Thank you... yes I think I will have to look into trying for a FP for another day...

I will also try and get the DAS card... because I think it might help me some on my trip...
Hopefully my leg would heal by November... I have never had this type of injury before but I am hopping around on crutches right now
Calf muscle strain (gastrocnemius strain) - I think this is the right name for it...

THANK YOU :)
I am not the person who likes to be treated "special", but sometimes I need a bit of help to make my vacation as good as possible.
Since other people can`t "SEE" all the things I am struggling with I sometimes FEEL embarrassed.. But they are REAL...
Yes, I will head over to the DISabilities forum and check that out...
I am very grateful that Disney have the DAS card... and I always bring papers from my doctor even if I don´t have to show it.
Here in Norway we have a card that we always have to bring to show as a "proof" and I don`t mind that at all :)

@eleda72 Disney CM's cannot look at your paperwork, your word is good enough. Please remember that no matter where you go, no matter what you do, there will be people who may feel entitled to judge you. Their judgement does not define you. These people judge a heavy person who may be enjoying an ice cream cone for the first time in ages, a young person in a stroller who they feel could or should walk, a biracial or gay couple, or adults in character ines. They judge people who they spot on cell phones, people who are dining but who may not be talking, and they judge folks who are taking out dogging bags with leftovers from meals. They matter not.

You do you. Take assistance that is freely offered to help you enjoy your trip. I am going to be the one some fo those folks are insisting that I am drunk at as I trip over my own feet. I will give them cause: My shirt will say Winey! LOL

You can use the DAS for anything that can be Fast Passed. If you can’t get a FP for a ride you want to experience then DAS it. With long standby times at FOP I would DAS that first thing in the morning if you use it for that attraction. I would use the DAS in conjunction with FP’s everyday without hesitation.

THANK YOU :)

No one knows if you have a DAS card. It is on your magic band and they give you a return time. Do not worry about what other people think! I hope you have a wonderful trip, Do rent a wheelchair if you need one, an outside service is better because you can use it at the resort.
