What type of restaurants are you looking for? I do restaurant reviews in the Toronto area and have all kinds of recommendations for you.

High end, low end, fun... what's your favourite franchise, dish??? :thumbsup2

Hi

I love the Green Mango on Yonge Street - If you like Thai food- this is an awesome place to eat

Enjoy your visit

Denise

no franchise, girls weekend, good wine, good food, prob mid priced, near the hoterl where we are staying, as we will be walking to the theater.

"EAST", on Queen St. West between University and John St. has very good Asian food. Down John St. below Queen St. is Milestone's, Brasserie, Montana's...alot of restaurants to pick from. On King St. near John also alot to pick from , my fav is Fred's Not Here. I'm sure you could find all of the menus online.
Hope that helps ! :thumbsup2

Across from the theatre on King Street, I also recommend "Fred's Not Here" or "Hey Lucy". They are both side by side.

Le Brasserie is also good and is right around the corner. Try Googling any of these and you'll find a website for sure!

Marche Movenpick at the TD Building, a little further down Yonge Street. Probably about 5-10 minute walk. Has a little of everything, in a European Market style environment. Good food, decent prices, cool atmosphere.

City Grille at the the Eaton Centre is nice.

This one is good too... it reminds me a little of the same setup as the Pepper Market at CSR... but better!!!

Le Saint Tropaz on King Street is quite nice. As is Venice, for Italian food.
Big Daddys is good if you like cajun, also too along John St, north of King there is Alice Fazooli's.
Alot depends on what your tastes are and what you are looking to spend.
The restaurants I mentioned have all been places that I have taken clients too and all have enjoyed.
If you like, you can give me more details on your tastes, and how far you want to go and I van give you more ideas.
A few years ago, Hys steakhouse under went a major reno and that is quite nice, but expensive.
Depending on how much time you have and how much you want to walk or travel, there is a great little place right near University and Dundas, that serves great steaks. I think it is on Baldwin.

It is no more than a ten minute walk from the hotel.
The actual address is on Adelaide at John Street.

thank you all for the input on the restaurants, we are back and we chose freds not here, wow!! everyone loved it, food was outstanding as was the service and presentation. my girlfriend even got the ostrich and said it was the best she ever had. (yuk from my point of view)- we had lunch at the brasserie which was fine, i liked the warm goat cheese salad lots!! again thank you
