We are going to WDW in January with all of the extended family. For Christmas, I want to get my niece and nephew some stuff that they can use on the trip.
My niece is 13 and my nephew is 11, so they're kind of at that "too cool" for themselves stage;)
What do you think?? I was thinking of lanyards with pins to get them started, but they might think it's kind of lame. I know they would enjoy it once we get there...but maybe not so much on Christmas morning.
How about books?? Should I just get them Disney dollars??
Any other ideas??

My son is 11 and loves his lanyard with pins. I think that is a nice idea. Not sure if they like the characters or not, but a Disney autograph book. They might be a bit too old for that though.

Are they readers? How about a book of Disney trivea or Hidden Mickeys? Or maybe the "Kingdom Keepers" book.

I have a nephew that is almost 13 and 'too cool', but he still really likes Jack Skellington.

I like the lanyard idea, but I'd suggest getting them some less expensive pins that don't look so nice to encourage them to trade.

What about an inexpensive digital camera?
