Well, Apple might be able to help you. You can make an appointment at the Genius Bar, and they can possibly help you. But, before you make an appointment, ask a staff member if they still offer support for Minis so you don't waste your time waiting.

Didja ever drop it? Cause that can ruin the iPod.

I don't have an ipod, nor have I ever taken one apart and looked at it, but based on my knowledge of how computers and hardrives work, did you drop it?

No i didnt drop it, I went on vaction and I put it in my little backpack thing.. I went to take it out and it went all weird. Something might of happened to it, there were 5 other family memeber in the house we were staying in (on vaction) and one dog. One of them might of but idk. Thanks for youe help.

it may have hit something in the backpack or you set it down too hard, or someone moved it. Theres a hundred possibilites. If this is the case though, I'm not sure it can be fixed.

this had happend to me too. but yours might not be the same problem mine did it because it wasnt charged. try charging it and see if the problem is gone!

Is it the songs you bought off itunes that don't work or all of them?

For a while the songs I bought off itunes wouldn't play, it would just skip right over them. All the other songs were fine it was just the ones off itunes that wouldn't work. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so I hooked it into the computer and it updated it. After that it was fine, all the songs would play, but then about a week later it would happen again. It was an ongoing cycle for a pretty long time but eventually it must have fixed itself because it hasn't happened in a few months.

So, have you tried hooking it into your computer and updating it? That worked for me to get the songs to play. I'd try leaving it hooked into the computer for a while and see if that does anything..

Someting similar happened to me too. I could only listen to music that I didnt buy from iTunes. The thing that worked was charging the battery completely. Hope this helps!

Now that you guys mentioned it, it is the songs I bought that skip.. The only bad party about this is that my iTunes is at my aunts house because my computer was broken September 2005-December 2005 along with iTunes. But I will try leaving it is the charger for a wwhile.
