My folks mentioned to me today that since we already have AP's they would consider a retrun trip to WDW this summer if we could find a resort that was real chap. I dont mean cheap...i mean low cost;) We're gonna be on a tight budget so a low cost hotel is a must. Can anyone recommend a hotel, either on property or off? Thanks!

If cost is your primary factor, I would think that offsite would be the only option.

Try posting your question on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board. The offsite experts tend to hang out there.

I would suggest Priceline. We have regularly used Priceline for stays in the Orlando area (usually a night or two before our WDW resort stay) and have had great luck. We always bid the WDW area (you have to pick a region) and always bid 3*. We put in a bid of $35 per night and have never been turned down. We've stayed at the Sheraton Safari (just outside the WDW gates near DTD), the Hotel Royal Plaza (one of the DTD resorts) and the Hyatt Orlando (first resort outside of WDW on 192 so you don't have to fight the 192 traffic). Just remember that your credit card will be charged when your offer is accepted so you won't be able to get a refund.

Happy bidding!

Not sure how low cost it has to be, but you can get All Stars for a really good price with your AP. We have $59 a night a June.
