Hi . We are arriving at WDW on Friday 11/4 and staying until Friday 11/11. I am trying to follow TGM's advice, but have a couple of issues on our first two days.

Our flight leaves Philly at 9:00. That means everyone up and out by around 6 AM or so. (Me, hubby, DS - 8, DD - 4 1/2) The flight is about 3 hours, so I'd guess that we'd be in our room by 2-ish? Is that about right? I had made ADR's for Crystal Palace for 5 PM, but am now thinking that this may be too much given how early we got up.

We also have an ADR for a late lunch at 1:55 at Cinderella's castle on Saturday 11/5. Again, not the most ideal time, but DD is a hugh Cindy fan and I really want to get her in there and this is what I could get. Since this is so late, I'm not sure if we should just have an easy morning and arrive at MK at let's say 11 (again, I know this is not ideal, and that we should not even be there on a Saturday). Maybe leave after lunch and make separate dinner plans?

Thanks in advance for your help - It's getting close and I've been making myself a bit crazy with this. (By the way, the kids don't even know we are going! We are going to surprise them that day, which is making it all them more exciting for me!)

Thanks again,
Susan

I think your plans are fine. Everyone will be all excited on that first day and Crystal Palace at 5 is perfect. You can get there an hour or two before and go on a few rides too. You could get back to your room early and get a good nights sleep. If you're staying on site I'd go to the early magic hour on Saturday, which has been Animal Kingdom lately and then head over to MK around 1pm. That gives you a full morning at AK and you should be able to see most of it. If it changes, just go to whatever park it is that day. :)

It is difficult to measure how kids will react. They may be tired, especially your younger one, or they may be running on adrenaline.

We have a VERY early flight for our trip Thanksgiving week and have a pretty full day planned. I am hoping for some sleep time on the airplane and we planned a later dinner but are going to AK first with an early closing time. I am also hoping for some quiet time between AK closing and our later dinner. The 11 year old DD I'm not so worried about; it is the 5 year DS that we will have to watch.

I think you are doing okay with your plans. You can sleep in some the next day if you want.

Sounds good to me. I would be fine with the CP ADRs on your first day...a nice way to start your stay. You could do a few attractions, or not, depending on the 'tired factor' of the family. You tend to hit the wall after being up so early, and all the excitement..add a full belly and that ole fatigue hits. I would make it an early night. Sleep a bit in the morning and then head off to MK. Sounds like a good lunch plan...nice timing. You can get a bite to eat for breakfast then have a nice big lunch and get some down time for the kids. Have a terrific time!!!
