Need some help... might switch resorts!

I could really use some advice/opinions/comments on switching our reservations from the YC to the Swan. If we switch we can save about $200, but we've never stayed at the Swan before and I'm wondering if it's as good or better than the YC? Which would you choose???

I think it all depends on how long you are staying. If it is one night at the YC for $400 vs one night at the Swan for $200 I'd take the Swan. If it is 5 nights at the YC for $1400 vs 5 nights at the Swan for $1200 I'd take the YC. What percentage of your total cost is the saved $200? That's the way I'd look at it...unless I had my heart set on the YC

It's three nights, a short trip. Normally I wouldn't really care and just go with dh, but it's our anniversary and I just feel the YC is more romantic. So keep those YC votes coming because dh is watching this poll from the office. (Hi Honey )

DH said that I am a resort snob. I would vote for YC too. We had stayed at both and I think Swan has better rooms. However, YC is still more Disney especially with the room charge privilege. I missed it when we stayed at Swan in May.

However, DH loves Swan, better room, better rate and GREAT service. If it were somewhere else, I would have voted for Swan. But for Disney, if $ is not an issue, I would go with YC.

DH still wants to switch to the Swan. It's $150 less for the three nights and also we'd get a $50 food certificate. (so about $200 total savings) I'm a little worried about staying at a non-disney resort... can anybody give me more info about the swan compared to the yc??? Thanks!

I would vote for the Swan, Can't beat the location, Great Food choices, HEAVENLY BEDS and best of all LESS MONEY!

I rather take the less expensive lodging and use the extra money for souveniers.

We stayed at the Swan in May for an early anniversary trip and found it very romantic. We were upgraded to a king room with a lovely view. The service was the best we have ever had at Disney. Employees always smiled and said hi when they saw you, even the guy cleaning the bus station (never saw that being cleaned at any other disney hotel) Extra attention from the check in guy, luggage guy. Turn down service every night coming back with the curtains drawn, the lights down low, and the bed turned back. And don't even get me started on the heavenly beds!!!! We had Disney magic and Swan magic. I have not stayed at YC, but have been there and find the outside to be.........uninspiring with that flat gray color, guess I'm just a bright color girl. Anyway I'm with hubby even without the money saving. Oh and we had a great breakfast at the restaurant one morning with fantastic service.
