Need some educating guessing here.....

2 of the Olympic pins being released are Mickey on the Still Rings ( sch'd for 8/13) and Mickey on the pommel horse ( sch'd for 8/27) Now with 3 of my kids being competitive gymnasts I must have them!
( Why they made both pins male instead of one being say Minnie on the Balance beam, I have no idea.. but that's a different problem!)

So the question is, with an edition size of 2004, what do you think my chances are of them being there when I arrive on the 10th of sept.?? Or do I need to try and arrange for the purchase of them by someone before I get there???

The Olympic pins for some strange reason have been going like wild fire.

For I would bet the same reason you want them, my son or daughter does that in school, or sports.

I would try to arrange a pretrade now with someone down here, offer something you have for what you need.

Or make friends with someone down here, and see if they can just get you the pins when they come out.

Sell your pin soul or do as Ruthie did and marry a married guy that lives in Florida near Disney. That way there is no commitment just pin purchases.

Or take a chance and trade for it, I'm sure the local will have them when you get here.

I agree with Ed. I only wanted the Figment LE 2004 pin. I got down there a week after it was released and there were less than 10 left at DAK. The Stitch pin released two days before was gone naturally. The rack Olympic pins seem to be in plentiful supply.

Well shoot! While not the info I hoped for, it is the info I expected!
Since most of us are all coming down for the pin event in Sept, I don't think many will be there in mid and late August......
Have to do some thinking!

I have a few educated guesses:

• Derek Jeter is satan
• There really is a "Curse of the Bambino"
• Disney will make more pins
• You will always get sniped on the one pin you wanted on eBay

If I were you I would agree to be another of Ed's wives and ask him to get it for you. He can never turn down one of his new wives (at least for the first few days).
I don't know about the way LE's are being sold anymore. Some of them hang out for months until they wind up at Belz, while some that I would consider ugly are sold off within hours.
It's good to have an "in" and if it means being another downtrodden female in Ed's harem it might be worth it. Peggie

With Peggie working in the health care industry, I would listen to her. It is always better to have an innie than an outie.

I considered becoming a wife of Ed but then I realized that there were not enough pins at Disney to justify the abuse I would receive. I don't know how Donna does it.
