Need some clarification re: CSR

Considering staying at CSR next June and I have been doing some searchs on the discussion board and found answers to most of my questions, but I do have a few questions I couldn't find the answers to.

1. How is the guest parking set up? Is there parking all around the resort, near each building, like at POR (only other mod we have stayed at)? Or is the parking only at the main entrance? We will have a car and plan on using it a lot for coming back for afternoon breaks.

2. What are the different themes for each section? I thought I saw somewhere that the Cabana section is more "beachy". What are the casitas and ranchos theme?

3. Is there beach all around Lago Dorado or only the section near the Cabanas buildings?

We've stayed at CSR twice now and love it!!
1. The parking areas are all around the edge of the resort near all the buildings. Very convenient!! When we were there in June this year, there was a lot of construction around the convention area. (Not a problem at all!)

2. Cabanas are on the beachy theme, lots of hammocks in the beach area. Casitas are supposed to feel like the urban city area. More floors than the other 2 areas, 4 and 5 stories I believe.

3. There are not beaches continually around the resort, but there may be more than just the one beach in the Cabanas area, maybe someone else will know!!

Ranchos is very desert-like with cacti and rock formations - very southwestern and dry.

Casitas feels more traditional Spanish. Fountains and lush gardens. It is definitely my favorite.

Cabanas feels like a bland Caribbean resort.

There are sandy beaches at the Cabanas, but I don't think you can swim in the lake.

We stayed in the Cabanas and enjoyed it. It was convenient to the restaurants and bus (at least building 9A was). The Casitas is where most of the convention crowd stays, so we definitely steered clear of that. The Ranchos was also the furthest area away from the main buildings, but was closest to the pyramid pool and hot tub.
