I am not little. The girls need support. I need a bra that I can wear with those skimpy little strap tops. Now, I don't wear tight little tops, but some of the really cute ones have just the little spaghetti straps.
All my bras have "ample" straps.

I usually shop at Vicky's, but I really couldn't find anything there that met my needs.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Check out Donna Karan's line. She makes really nice, comfortable bras for people with, ahem...extra assets.

36 C. Not huge, but not small enough to go comando :rotfl:

I've had luck with the body by victoria's. What I try to do is get a color as close to the tank top I'm wearing. Right now, I have on a multi color tank- pinks/tans etc. and I have on a pink bra, the straps matches the color

For a 36 C you should be able to buy em bout anywhere! Try fitting a 34D .... aint fun!

Large breasted and small straps is an oximoron! Other than anti-gravity, how else would the girls stay in place?

I wear Bali, but the straps are about 3/8" thick - not spagetti. How about the plastic straps on a strapless or change them out?

I do not like the look of the straps showing. I know everyone does it and no one thinks anything about it. But I do not like it for me. I LOVE the body by victoria bra (have one on RIGHT NOW). I have lots of them. I wear them all the time. It is my fav bra. BUT, the straps show too much with those tiny little spaghetti strap tops. I don't like the look. It's ok for others, but I don't like it for me. DD thinks I am nuts too, but that is the way I feel about it. I just don't like it.

A plastic strap one would be fine, if I could find one that wouldn't kill me. Got any suggestions?

I know I am probably crazy, but I just don't like the look of the straps SHOWING. I saw a woman yest at a restaurant. She had a skinny little bra stap under a cute little top. Her girls were standing right up there. Now I am pretty sure (actually quite CERTAIN) her girls had some extra help, if you know what I mean, and it wasn't from her BRA ;)
BUT, that is the kind of strap I am talking about. Something that wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb. I am just very self conscious about that sort of thing.

I'm a similar size and I LOVE the Victoria's Secret IPEX. They are my absolute FAVORITE!! They have thick (er) straps, an underwire, and are made out of such comfortable material. It feels like a great bathing suit with more support :) Plus, they come in lots of really cute colors, and you can always find them at the Semi-Annual sale for like $10!!!

DD needed a strapless bra for dance recital last year (and for 13 1/2 she is VERY well endowed!)

We went to Vicki's and got a bra that converts, like 5 ways, you can wear it strapless, or criss-cross, like a halter, and it has the plastic straps that you can attach (which is what she did for dance) I think it could wrap around the waist for a very low back look even.

It was the Very Sexy line, Convertible.

DD is 15 and bless her heart, they're huge. She has to wear formals frequently for her jazz choir and a couple of hers have low backs. I've looked at backless, strapless bras online because I know she's going to need something. Looks like they stay in place with some sort of double stick tape-like adhesive. Anyone ever try one? Did it work?

I agree with you, I don't care for it either. I distinctly remember a few years ago getting a new Disney video in the mail (where they show all the resorts, etc.) and the girl in there had the bra-strap showing look - I hated it!!

Thanks for the idea. I'll have to take her to check that one out.

I like the clear straps, but couldn't find a clear strap bra without an underwire. As I stated on the other bra thread, this home-girl don't do underwires. ;) So, I MacGyvered my own! Basically, I took a cheapie Wal-mart non-underwire bra, cut the straps off but left just enough to fold over and sewed them into the little loops for the straps to attach. Then I bought some clear straps, (you can get them at Wal-mart for $1.97 in the undie section) and attached them. Poof! :wizard: DIY custom bras!
