Need some AKL help.....

We are now staying at AKL and arrive in 18 days. We are thrilled to be staying here but our knowledge of this resort is pretty limited. We have 3 rooms booked so unfortunately standard view is what we have. Can anyone help me find out which standard area would have the best possible view? And what floor? I've heard third floor isn't very good but where then? I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

I think that all of the standard view rooms are facing the front of the resort (parking lot area). You should request a higher floor as some of the 3rd floor rooms are looking right onto the bus stop. You could also check out the AKL map; request a room to the left (if you are looking at the Lodge from the parking lot) of the main doors. The bus stop is to the right.

Have a great time at AKL... it's a wonderful resort!

Hi! I haven't stayed at AKL, but we are staying there, standard room, in 2 weeks!! On this board, I learned to request the 4th or 5th floor (less noisy) and to request the Ostrich Trail. These rooms won't overlook the parking lot. HTH!

Also... the lobby is located on the 3rd floor. Good luck.... maybe you will get an upgrade!!!

Thank you for your reply. I know the standard rooms face the parking lots just wanted to know which ones were the lesser evils. LoL You both were very helpful. 4th or 5th floors, left side, possibly Ostrich Trail. We have already requested an upper floor with "best possible view" so this helps alot. And Kim, thanks for the link to the map. An upgrade would be heavenly since this is our daughter and son in law's honeymoon trip but with 3 rooms that would probably be almost impossible. Thanks.

Be sure to mention it's their honeymoon.... even more of a chance for upgrade... at least for their room.
