I just came back from my travel agent and have a big decision to make.... hoping that some of you experienced Disney people can help me.
I am in the process of booking the 5 for 7 deal for October and have to decide between Wilderness lodge (standard Woodsview room) or Port Orleans French Quarter. The difference in Price for me is $1000 (Canadian) and I'm having a hard time deciding if the Wilderness lodge is worth the extra money. We've never ever stayed in Disney before so even if there's a different resort you can recommend. I'm not interested in the value resorts as they look kind of cheesy to me (no offence meant to anyone!)
Please help me!! This will be a first trip for my boys (4 and 10yo) and dh and I haven't been since 1993.
Plane tickets are booked
so now I just need to book accomodation.

it can drive you crazy because they are all very nice and all have their own personalities. Just make the decision based upon what your family will enjoy - will they spend much time at the resort? Will they be there only to sleep and take showers? Does your DS 4 yo need a nap? (my DD 5 does). Your DDs may be more interested in Epcot, MGM, AKL and the water parks than in the magic kingdom.
