I was planning to take a quick trip to DL for my birthday May 28th-31st, but something unexpected came up financially and now I might only get to spend one day at DL. This would be a very very very cheap trip, I'll be taking the bus and probably be eating at McDonalds most of the time.

If I don't go in May, I'll definitely go in December (which is sooo far away) and be able to splurge a little, possibly get an AP and enjoy DL during Christmas.

So, long story short, which one would you do? Go on a cheapy trip which is sooner...or a save up and splurge trip that is many months away?

Also, I have the room reserved already at the HOJO, would it be wrong of me not to cancel now even if I'm not 100% sure I'm going?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I have been to Disneyland in May and it is fun. However I have also been to Disneyland is December and that was the most fun I ever had. Seeing the characters in all there Disney outfits and all of Disneyland decorated. And don't forget the christmas parade. I also think that wait times in December are better.:santa: Good Luck with your choice.

Simple...Christmas.

You don't want to do it cheap unless you come here often and don't want anything. Save money and come here the right way. Plus I think its a lot more fun during Christmas and all the new stuff will already be open.

Go for it in May. Live life! You'll just yearn all year so enjoy it sooner than later!

I would say in December the crowds will be huge but it will be busy in May too, so pick your poison.

Who knows, if this trip fell through who is to say the December trip might also so why not go for what is more certain, the May day.

Just offering another point of view.
