Hi. First of all let me thank you for all your posts on these boards. They have been such a help to me. Here is the situation, next May I am planning my first (yes, first) trip to WDW. I am actually getting married while I am there (not in Disney but at the Hyatt Grand Cypress). So its me, my fiance, and our 2 daughters ages 18 months and 5 at the time. I am also expecting around 20 guests. Anyway, I guess my main issue is where to begin and what kind of advice can you give a newbie with two small girls.

congratulations!

I think the hardest thing to do is trying to keep a large group together happy. Some people like some restaurants, while others not so much. If you know what days you plan on being at WDW, make you ADR's for the table service restaurants 180 days before the trip. Check out the site with menu's and have others look at it too and compose a list of where you all want ADR's for. It is hard to get seating for that many people.

I recommend that you order the WDW trip planning DVD, it is free and it gives you a good overview of what is at the parks and so on.

For starters, I would plan out your trip the way YOU guys want it and then send out your itinerary (at least what you don't mind sharing) with dining reservation #'s and 407-WDW-DINE to your guests so THEY can link up with you guys when they want. Believe me from experience, there is no faster way to bring yourself down than trying to accommodate a bunch of other people. Its your special time so have a blast :grouphug:

3 quick questions:

1. Will you be staying on WDW property and having your wedding at the Grand Cypress or just visiting WDW here and there?

2. Are you going to be spending all your time at WDW?

3. Do you expect many guests to join you everywhere or just here and there?

1. We will be staying on site and just having the wedding at the Hyatt.

2. We will be spending the rest of our time at WDW.

3. We are planning separate itineraries with a meet up here and there.
