need serious disney december help!

Okay, I have never done this before and it took me forever to figure out how to post this thread. So here it goes. Last year we made the mistake of going to Disneyland during christmas vacation! Envision cattle being herded! Anyway we were going to go in November this year but Pirates is being refurbished from October 3-December 13. So we have decided to go possibly December12-17. Will this be less crowded? It is the week before Christmas break. Also, is the Paradise Pier worth the extra money for the theme park view? Truly any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That will be a good time to go to Disneyland. There will be some crowds - mostly on the weekends, but the weekdays should be okay.

We have gone several times during the week before Xmas, like the 20th thru the 26th. It's really good, very low crowds. We usually don't go into the parks on the 26th, we just head for home. The crowds descend Xmas evening, and I mean descend. You will wonder where all the people came from! The week before is great.

That is our favorite time to go. It will be more crowded on the weekends but the weekdays will be great. Before Christmas is great, between Christmas & New Years is when it gets really crazy.
