I have tried searching but must not be using the right terms.
SDMT opened just days after our May trip. We are going again in October. DH is in a scooter. He can transfer but it takes him quite a while. He did Everest but it was bad. He just can't move that fast into and out of the car. TSMM is such a great set up. What is the setup for HA loading at SDMT?

Here are a couple of threads that talk about accessibility on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train:

Both include links to some blog posts with reviews and pictures. Hopefully something here is helpful.

Enjoy your vacation!

Thank you! I guess I should have spelled out "Seven Dwarfs" instead of abbreviating when searching!
Both of these links go to the same thread, I think. It does appear that DH will be allowed to take his time boarding, so I guess we will give it a try.

It appears they both do go to the same thread.

Thanks, Sue. Now I am a little worried about the leg issue. DH has very little flexibility in his legs and it doesn't look like there is much room getting in and out of the car. Oh well, I guess we try it and see what happens. I am a little sad that there isn't a bit more accommodation. TSMM is so much better.

Yes - everything I have read says it is rather tight.

I have read a couple of places where people have posted there is trial car for people to practice getting in (or kids to get their pictures taken).
My suggestion would be to ask if they do have a trial car - it's possible they may add one and a trial car would let you know if it's worth even trying to ride.

Leg room is definitely an issue for everyone (except maybe kids) on the ride. The transfer car (which is the last car on the train) has a wider door to enter (similar to Dumbo or the Teacups). The space for your legs is a big issue. There is not a lot of room to stretch them forward and they have to pretty much be together (especially for an adult) in order to fit under the lap bar.

Unfortunately I have not seen a demo car to try.
