Hi, need some help with room request for BWI. Will be there in January 2003 in standard room on the Inn side. Any suggestions for a good room? Do any of the rooms have a view of Illuminations or do you have to be on the Boardwalk side to see Epcot. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be at the BWI in just a few days!

From what I've researched, the only views facing the Epcot are all standard view, not water view (which face the Boardwalk or pools).

Request an upper floor Epcot view and you should be able to see the "top" of Illuminations from your balcony.

You could also ask for a full size balcony, since the sizes vary somewhat.

From what I understand, the requests are ordered, so the first thing you ask for is most likely all you can hope for, so if the Epcot view is the most important, be sure to list that first.

There is Boardwalk Information Thread linked in the FAQ thread at the top of the Resorts posts, if you want to read more.

Hope that helps!

I would definitely put a request in for a view. We stayed there for 1 night on 12/6, I didn't make any requests except for non-smoking. We ended up on the second floor next to the walkway to the bus stop (room 2309). People were walking by and talking all the time. If we would have been there for the whole week I would have asked for a room change, but it was only 1 night before we moved to BW Villas for 6 nights. Other than that, we really liked our room, it was very nicely decorated. It was also close to the lobby, which was convenient.
