We have ADRs next week at Mama Melrose's, Teppen Edo, 50's Primetime. These are new restaurants for us and after reading a few reviews I'm wondering if I need to change at least the Mama Melrose's.

MM is our favorite place to eat in HS! Cozy relaxing ambiance and the steak, the chicken Campanella and the desserts were very good last trip!!!

Teppen Edo is hard for my family to enjoy b/c we love Hibachi rice but if your family are noodle fans you'll be happy!

50s is ok but apart from the theme it isn't so different then say Cracker Barrel? Lol

Teppan Edo is great. The service is probably the best in WDW. It's like any other hibachi grill, but you get to do it in WDW! I've eaten there 4 or 5 times, and have not had a bad experience.

50's PT on the other hand was okay. I'm from the south, and used to real home cooking. Sorry PT, but my grandmother's pot roast is way better. And I'm snobby about mashed potatoes. It wasn't bad, I just couldn't help but to snarl my nose at it. The service is fun. I had to wear a "BRAT" hat made out of a napkin for putting my elbows on the table. It was fun looking at the décor. But the menu would have to change before I would go back.

I've heard nothing but horror stories about MM and have no desire to go there.

50's PT on the other hand is an absolutely favorite. It IS homestyle food, but it's delicious, and we're all pretty sure it's the best fried chicken we've ever hand. Also a seriously fun restaurant. It's not going to blow your mind, but I feel like it's one of those places that everyone can find something they like, and its solid comfort food. :)

I really liked mama melrose for the fantasmic package last jan. the food was good, the service was actually one of the best servers we had all week and it was nice to sit in the darkened restaurant for a break mid-day. The desserts really were lacking thought. (but with the writers stop right down the road it didn't bug me too much) 50s PT was just okay for us, the chicken was good but it was the stuff I cook at home and in most cases I make it better! The atmosphere is probably fun if you get a server "in character" ours was just meh and ended up taking a double tip (didn't figure that out till we got home)! So that may cloud my judgment of 50s PT.

I changed our MM ADR for the San Angel Inn in Epcot. We have been there before and enjoyed it. The kids love hibachi grill so they should be happy with Teppan Edo.

Teppan Edo is one of my daughter's favorites at Epcot, we MUST eat there during each trip!! The food has always been good, never a complaint. Its the norm when it comes to hibachi, but as others said, its in Disney!!! My only complaint is the wait, even with a reservation, there is ALWAYS a wait!! I chalk it up to the fact that they put on a show while cooking & if your table is full, it will take longer.... We have met interesting people from all over the world dining here. I am currently planning our next trip & Teppan Edo is on the top of the list for our ADRs when we make them! Hope you like it!!!!

Teppen Edo is good but just my 2 cents but when it changed operators as I recall, i noticed the quality had changed. i want to say this was about 10 years ago when they still had the steak and lobster option.

do not get me wrong, i still think it is great but not as good as it used to be and going at lunch was always a great option to save a little $$.

Can't help with MM, but can with the others.
50s: great comfort food. I think its a little better than Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere is really fun if you enjoy that type of antics. I've had the fried chicken (yum!!) and the salmon.
Teppan Edo: better hibachi style restaurant than any of my local places, but could be argued to be average. Still good, don't get me wrong. My kids like to go to be entertained by the chef, so in that regard we have not been disappointed thus far. Always a little magical.

We ate at Tepan on our frist trip, and it was good, just we have similar hibachi style restaurants at home, so it wasnt too different but very tasty....we havent gone back over the last 2 trips...

we havent eaten at MM before - I've heard good and bad things about it, but we if we had a choice, we'd always eat at

50's Prime Time!! our favorite!! in fact my youngest mentioned over the weekend that he'd LOVE to be able to eat some of their fried chicken and get a chocolate milk shake right now!

we've eaten there on every trip - and the last trip we made it there twice for lunch...

we havent had a lunch we didnt love, and my DH tried the lunch special which was a pork chop that he STILL talks about - we love the funny antics with the wait staff and its our kind of casual and fun place!

We always travel in June and its HOT and lunch there is always a great break in the middle of the day!!

Looks like I'm too late to make a difference, but I was going to say that while I didn't care for the 50's Prime Time diner (especially after all the praise for the great servers and food), I really did enjoy Mama Mia's. The food and ambiance was good, although it did earn worst server of the table service restaurants we visited on our last trip. That wasn't a restaurant-wide thing. The family beside us had a different server, and he was fantastic.

We've eaten a few times at 50 PTC (L&D) and it's either been very good or just so-so. Some of it depends on the server you get.

Last time we had an older man who wasn't into the 50's thing at all. He would have fit right in at Denny's (or Cracker Barrel-I do like CB though). The food was good for the most part but we could have been eating at any chain location. I had the Tuna Noodles (now off the menu?) which was very tasty and my DM had the Pot Roast. She always likes it but I will say that the Pot Roast at Port Orleans is just as good or better. My DD had the adult serving of the Chicken Nuggets and they were horrible. Tastleless and they looked like an elephant had stepped on them.

I would saw of all the times we've been there we've had a good server 50% of the time.

Teppan Edo-love the food and the show.

We had great experiences at all of our ADRs!! Loved 50s PTC! We had "Uncle Gary" and he was hilarious! It was so much fun. We will definitely go back. Teppan Edo was excellent and our cook was very entertaining. San Angel Inn is always good. Oscar was our waiter there and he was so helpful. The only problem I had with the dining plan is that tips are no longer included and with a party of 6 it was a lot of extra money.

Sorry MM was horrible on my last trip to Disney in 2011.
We had a 6pm reservation for 5 people. I had two kids that were 5 and 6 they were starving and the reservation were 2 hours behind. So we did not sit down and eat till 8 pm almost 8:15pm. My meal I could have made myself at home. The place was deserted when we sat down the staff did nothing to apologize for the wait. ABSOLUTELY nothing special about this place. Will never book a reservation or eat there again.
