We will be at WDW April 11-20, week before Easter. I would like recommendations as to whether or not to do EMH at the different parks? Some people say to avoid those parks.
I’ll be making our Fast Pass choices on Feb 10.

We used to always do EMH mornings and then break in the afternoon, then hop to a different park for the evening. We now value that extra bit of sleep in the morning so we avoid AM EMH. Using the FP system well and/or having a good touring plan are more important in my view than EMH or no EMH.

If you aren’t going to use EMH then avoid going to the park that has them that day. From what people say, ideal thing is to go to EMH and stay at the park for just a couple hours then hop elsewhere. If your family is early risers it is worth a shot. Personally, we prefer our sleep so we just typically plan to be at a park that doesn’t have EMH that day.

This is what we will be doing in June. Have a great trip!

Unless you're planning in participating in the EMH, in my opinion I would just plan to go to the parks you want to go to when you want to go there. In my opinion, people tend to drastically overthink these types of things. Just go have fun. Since we're offsite people, we can't do EMH, so we don't even look to see what parks have it. I honestly couldn't tell you the difference when I'm in the park.

We are early risers, so we always take advantage of early EMH at MK. We rarely use the early EMH at EP as there isn't enough open to spread the crowd. If AK and HS early EMH fits into our plan, then we will use it. For both of these parks, if you stay away from the crowd draws of FoP and TSL, then you have the rest of the early EMH attractions almost to yourself. If you can't get a FP+ for those popular attractions, then early EMH is a smaller crowd than regular opening to navigate through, but you still need to be at the gates 30-45 min before the EMH opening, so that makes for a VERY early morning.

Late EMH is too much of a crap shoot for us to make it a firm part of our plans. Right now, the only two parks that even have a late EMH are EP and MK. EP doesn't stay open late enough for the crowds to die down and again, not enough attractions to spread out the crowd. We would make time for a late EMH at MK if the last hour of EMH is at least 11-midnight or later. Otherwise, it's not late enough and there are just as many people there as during the day.

When we stayed on site we would plan our parks days on morning EMH. Like a number of previous posters we would take an afternoon break and then decide what to do in the evening. We enjoyed the quieter morning time in the park and frequently timed our leaving based on the crowd level.

But I acknowledge that you have to be a morning person to enjoy getting up and going early while on vacation.

Most fo the time, we go to the parks the day after EMH. Theoretically, many site claim the parks are slightly less crowded. Not sure thats really true.
I would agree, that if you are not going to do EMh, then skip that park that day.

Of you have park hopper then I would lean toward doing them if no park hopper then I would lean towards no

We like to do EMH because we can typically get one more rides before the park fills in. For instance, at AK last year we rode Na'vi (had a fastpass later for FoP), walked around Pandora a bit, then road Dinosaur twice and other smaller rides in that area before the park technically opened.

Like many above have said, if you choose to do the morning EMH you can get a lot done. The crowds start to really build mid morning so we hop to another park or take a resort break mid day. If you aren't going early, I would avoid the morning EMH park at least until the evening. As another poster stated, morning EMH at EP just doesn't offer enough so we never do that one.
I would just do the morning EMH if it works with your plans. If you rope drop on non EMH days you can get nearly as much done.
