Need Recommendations for May 24, LA Area Theme Park

Will be in LA one day only en route to our final destination. We were planning on Disneyland/DCA on May 24 but since it's the 24 hour day for Disney, therefore likely insane crowds, and since we arent great at crowds (we love the off season or mild crowds), we are looking for an alternate park. Kids 8,11,and 14. 8yr old is into the simplest, least extreme rides. 14yo will go for most rides you'd guess for the age.

Six Flags? Knotts? Please give me your thoughts. Will crowds be tame and behaved because school's still in session?

Considered Legoland but am afraid 14yo will be bored.

It's Memorial Day weekend, expect crowds everywhere.

I would suggest Knotts or Universal Studios. We took our kids to both. Parks when they were 8, 10 & 13 they loved both of them.

Universal would be my pick. I love that park. And even though it will be crowded, crowds are Universal are nothing like Disney crowds. Besides, the tram tour is worth it!
