DH and I love to walk.::yes:: But DH is having problems with his feet. Their sore alot, plus he has heels spurs that act up every now and then. Just last night he started limping while we were out and said they were getting sore again. I suggested getting some good walking shoes for him, he has tennis shoes he wears. Their reebok, but I have no clue what their made for.

Anyway...I was wondering if anyone can recommend some walking shoes. I think I'll have him ask the dr. when he goes in a couple of weeks also.;)

Thanks for the help!!:wave2:

Tell him to ride his bike next time. :p :wave2:

I have had problems in the past with my feet and when I went to physical therapy a few years ago the doctor recommend New Balance sneakers to me. As a lifelong Nike fan I was hesitant to switch, but I gave them a try. I am now a New Balance fan, they offer terrific support and I haven't had issues with my feet since switching.

Suffer same problem here & New Balance are the shoes (sneakers) for me!!

A few years ago when I first had my heel spur there was a thread on the Dis from people who had the same problem...I must tell you 2 years later I'm having problems again...I feel for your DH...I"ve been limping so bad now my back is out of whack...anyway...I went to a Dr. and he said that I should freeze a bottle of water...put on the floor and roll your foot over it...This is the same advice these people on the Dis suggested years ago!
I should have saved my money! lol

Anyway New Balance were also the shoes recommended...I love mine!

I second that!!
Or third that!!

New Balance has helped my Plantar problems...greatly! Hold my foot in place with lots of support. I favor 608's but there are others so you can find just what suits you best!

there is a wonderful thread on the theme park board called foot problems at WDW. There are some wonderful ideas over there to check out!

Coming from someone who has had surgery on both feet due to plantar fasciiitis, I know how the podiatrist told me to look for shoes. Put the toe part of the shoe in the palm of one hand and the back of the heel part in the other palm and try and push your hands together. If the shoe collapses don't buy. If it doesn't budge it should be good. Another thing to look for is to put the shoe on a flat surface. It should not rock either direction. I personally will never buy Reebok anymore. New Balance is highly recommended to me. Buy new shoes much more often. I honestly have to buy every two months but that is because I had to have the surgery. If you have any questions, pm me. Sandy

I also had surgery on both feet for plantar fascitis. My doctor recommended New Balance as well. Try on lots of styles, because they are not all the same. We have an actual New Balance store near us that has styles I've never seen anywhere else. I have had great luck with them, and also with Ryka walking shoes, but I believe they are only for women.

WOW Thanks guys!:teeth: I'll be checking out your threads and those shoes. It's too funny...I was thinking of them last night(NewBalance). Wondering how good they would be!!;) We have never tried them...I think it's time to take a look!:D ::yes::
