need recommendation near Epcot

I suddenly had some inspiration here......I realized that we could leave Epcot to eat, so I'm looking for a good recommendation. Note that almost all restaurants in Epcot except Liberty Inn are out of the question due to picky eaters, so none of the restaurants from other countries would work. BUT, I realized that we can leave and eat. We don't have a park hopper, but we could go to a resort and eat, right ? Since we are just staying at POP it would be fun to see another resort. What's easy to get to ? Is Chef Mickey's good for supper ? 1900s at GF ? We DON"T want to have to dress up ! It has to be somewhere that we can eat in shorts and casual shirts.

1900 is good, Chef Mickeys is iffy but kids LOVE IT!!! IT does have your standard Pizza, Chicken Nuggets, Mac and Cheese etc. for kids who are picky as does 1900 PF.

Whispering Canyon is a blast. They have BBQ. Chicken, Sausage, Beef, Corn on the Cob, Cornbread, Mashed Potatos.

Oh also at Epcot, Garden Grill has gone back to home cooking, Fish, Steak, Potatoes etc.

You could take the monorail from Epcot to the TTC and then hop on the resort monorail and eat at any of those restaurants. We have eaten at Chef Mickey's twice and it was good, my family loves 'Ohana and we have tried 1900 Park Fare and enjoyed it. Another option would be walking or taking one of the Friendship boats to the Boardwalk, Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club or to the Swan or Dolphin. Check here for menus and restaurant choices:

You could always go to any of the Epcot resorts for a meal. The Boardwalk Inn, Yacht Club, and Beach Club are all within walking distance through the International Gateway (you can also take a boat to any of these resorts from this exit/entrance, too). For restaurants that you might be interested in, here is a list--

The Boardwalk has: ESPN Club, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, Spoodles Pizza Window (eat it sitting out on the boardwalk), Spoodles, and Flying Fish (the latter two may be a little too fancy for the picky eaters and I'm not sure if there is a dress code for these either.)

YC & BC has: Yacht Club Galley, Beaches and Cream, Cape May Cafe

Or take the boat to the Swan or the Dolphin-- mulitple restaurant choices there as well.

Le Cellier is out of the question too? The food there is pretty meat and potatoes, nothing fancy.

IMHO, hop the boat to the Boardwalk and head to ESPN club. It has fun atmosphere for both grown ups and kids alike.
