Need reccomendations from ladies in the best years of their lives

Now that I am approaching the best years of my life I realize that I should probably start taking a little better care of my skin. I've never been a sun worshiper (thankfully) so my skin still appears somewhat youthful but I realize that I am going to have start actually working towards keeping it that way. There are so many moisturizers out there from $5 to $500 and of course they all promise to be the fountain of youth. I'm just looking for a reasonably priced one that will help slow mother nature down just a little bit. Anyone have any recommendations?

I love the Lancome Benefait (sp?) moisturizer with SPF 30. I am 37 yo with the skin of a high-schooler...I still get frequent breakouts on my chin and forehead, but my nose and cheeks are often so dry that they peel. I also tend to burn quickly in the sun, but I am not fair-skinned. This product is very light and it does not aggravate my acne.

I started using Lancome about 6 years ago (when I found MyPoints!) and even though they are a little pricey, I find that when you order online, you get a LOT of free stuff. Here's how I justify it...

1) Use Ebates to buy myself a $50 gift card from Lancome.com when they offer a 14% rebate. That puts $7 into my Disney (PayPal) fund...

2) Use MyPoints to order $50 worth of product and pay for it with my gift card. That nets me 2000 MyPoints for each purchase. I use them for either Marriott gift cards or Rainforest Cafe gift cards.

3) When you order from Lancome.com, they include a lot of freebies. Their current offer includes:

So, yes, the moisturizer is $45....but, it does last a long time. I bought a bottle about 6 months ago and I use it every day. It's almost time to reorder, but I do still have about 1/4 bottle left. On top of that, I love the Genefique concentrate. I've accumulated about 4 bottles of free samples so I haven't had to order it yet.

In addition to the moisturizers, I love the cleansers, toners and exfoliators. I will admit that I am not the best when it comes to remembering to wash my face before I go to bed so I don't know how my skin would look if I were more diligent. I will say that at 37 years old, I am constantly being told that nobody would guess my age. It's probably because I act like a 25 year old...not because I look like one.

I just started using argan oil on my face and hair. It's done wonders for my hair. I am not using it on my face daily, but I have noticed that my face is less dry and blotchy. It's supposed to have anti-aging powers but I haven't been using it long enough to comment on that. I bought mine for $12 at an organic food market, but the same brand - Acure - is also available on amazon.com. Since you only need a few drops for your entire face, a small bottle will last months.

Olay regenerest, very affordable and it seems like it gets great reviews besides. I also us Glytone products in the winter (must be very careful with the sun as it has more glyconic acid than typical over the counter products).
I am faithful every morning and night to use skin care products. I also use a homemade mixture of witch hazel and hydrogen peroxide after I wash my face at night (put on a cotton ball to clean).

My husband comments when I am putting on all of my "old lady" creams, "why do you do all that, you dont have hardly any wrinkles/lines?"

My big splurge is eye cream. I used Estee Lauder, then tried to save money by using L'Oreal brand, and realized why there is a $30 difference. L'Oreal was pointless. I'm currently using Origins, and I love it.

In addition to moisturizing, be mindful of cleaning. I switched to Cetaphil after recommendations of many girlfriends. I had been using Clinique. I love Cetaphil so much more!!

I've used a spectrum of moisturizers, from vaseline (yes, the petroleum jelly, to date it's been the best one, but now I'm off petroleum because I'm trying to be more naturally inclined) to Clinique. My skin lends toward dry, so I need a really good moisturizer. I've had good luck with Alba (which is non-petroleum based) and right now I'm using Equate (the Walmart brand) knock-off of Aveeno radiance. Which is not petroleum/paraben free, but is better than using vaseline

So, in summary, I spend 10 bucks a year on cleanser, 50 bucks every 2 years on eye cream, and 5 bucks a year on moisturizer. And my aesthetician says my skin is 20 years younger than I am.

I've been using Olay regenerest for several years and love it. I get the unscented because I don't care for perfumie smells. I've never had great skin but since I've been using Olay I began gettting compliments on my skin.

I use Olive Oil. Wash my face with it (in the shower) and my body. I have never had LESS acne and my skin is so soft and moisturized. I stopped using all of the beauty products because all of the parabens and toxins in them. It REALLY messes with your endocrine system and I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder. Best of all ITS CHEAP!!!!
