We are going down, last-minute from 8-24 thru 8/29. Is it worth getting the dining plan? I just called and asked for a reservation at any Epcot restaurtant on 8/25 from 4-7 and the only availability was marekesh TS and the Paris TS. Is that a good judge and we should blow off the DDP this time around?

Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

i would call first and get reservations, and if you cant i wouldnt bother.
for that week planet hollywood isnt taking ADRs and theres always espn, so if thats ok with you maybe you can eat there.

although we did go down in 2006 without ressies in that same week(we always go that week) and did eat at some good restaurants by going to the concerierge every morning and seeing what he had. but its a gamble.

That's free dining time. You will have difficulty getting TS reservations anywhere. If you can call and line up some TS reservations, then it might be worth it, but if you end up not being able to use your TS credits, it won't be.

You were pretty limited in your request there are lots of other TS restaurants at WDW where you can probably get ADRs. Book some ADRs then book the plan. TS isn't just for dinner either we had a fabulous lunch at Coral Reef and it was great getting out of the sun for over an hour!

Thanks all. Opted to go with no DDP and let Concierge work their magic for TS's we'll want to do.

Hey Maz! It's Coleen from Magic Meets. I am so jealous you are taking a last minute trip!

When we went in Jult, we did not eat any TS meals on property. his was an experimemt for us, and I have to say we loved it!

It was so wonderful not being tied to ADR's! Just try it this trip and see how you feel about it.

Good to hear from you. Thanks for the second on this. We'll see how it works. IMO eating is secondary anyway. "Eat, who needs to eat. Let's just get to the parks. You can always eat later"

Did you do a trip report for your July Trip? If so give me a link.
