Need quick answer How early into MK for PS?

We have a PS at CRT on Jan 14 at 8:10 am. Obviously, this is before park opening. How much before this will be able to go into park. I would like for us to be able to take our time walking down to the castle. Also, how early does the monorail run? I am notoriously early for everything, so it will bug me to death if I can't get until 8 and feel like I have to race to castle. Thanks everyone for your help

dd and i had this exact same time last april. we took the bus from csr but it only took you as far as the monorail and we did have to line up and wait there until the monorail started to run, sorry i don't remember what time, maybe about 7:30. when we got to mk we had to show our ps#to a cm who was checking them off a list and wait. we were not allowed to enter the park until 8:00 for our 8:10 ps. so we didn't really have time to wander...but we did make time to take pictures of dd with captain hook and smee who started to flirt with my dd (she is 21) and follow her along the way we made it to the castle just in time...and were rewarded with a window seat and had a great time. you may not have a lot of time to make it to the castle but i am sure you will really enjoy the meal

I have to agree with the previous poster they don't open the turnstiles until AT LEAST 8:00. On our last trip, we had two PS's before park opening, once they opened promptly at 8:00, on the day of our Cindy's ressies, they didn't open the gates until 8:10!!!!! It also takes a bit of time to get everyone through the turnstiles, so we didn't make it up to Cindy's until 8:20, our PS was at 8:10. The CM's understand, since they are aware when the turnstiles open up. It was nervwracking, since I also like to be early, but there is really nothing you can do.
