DW Lauri (a.k.a. MeanLaureen) hasn't been posting very much on the boards lately because she hasn't been feeling very well. In fact, she said lately she's felt the worst she has ever felt.
Some of you know what's wrong with her, but for those who don't -- 3 years ago Lauri was diagnosed with Still's Disease. It's an autoimmune disorder along the same lines as lupus. Basically, her white blood cells attack her joints like they're a disease, which puts her in a lot of pain. Unlike lupus, Still's occurs less frequently in the population, so the drug companies don't do a lot of research into cure and treatments. Sometimes meds designed for other diseases can help, but not everyone responds the same to each med.
The past few weeks the pain has gotten worse and worse to the point where she can hardly move at times. Even when Reilly, our 12 lb. poodle, jumps up on her it hurts.
If you can spare any prayers and pixie dust, we could certainly use a lot of it here.
