With the ever-helpful Tikiman's website, I have narrowed my choice of longhouses to Nuiu and Tokelau. Not that I'll get them, but I'm going to request.

So, any suggestions, advice or hints.

Also, how long is the walk to TTC?

I see on the map that there is the boat to MK and then I see a boat launch at TTC? Is that one for the people that park at TTC?

Thanks once and again,

Anna

The walk is going to be 4-5 minutes from either longhouse to the TTC. The Polynesian is a fairly compact resort - the pix just make it look more spread out than it is. There is a boat launch from the TTC that is for the general public. There is also a boat from the Polynesian Marina that goes to MK.

I would choose Niue. You are closer to both pools, the GCH and the marina and still close to the TTC.

Actually, I think the walk from the door of Niue to the door of the GCH is more like 10 seconds. Tokelau is probably 1-3 minutes depending on which end of the longhouse you're starting at as it's a longer longhouse. I personally would probably pick Tokelau as the rooms are larger and all rooms have either a patio or balcony. In Niue, second floor rooms don't. As Zulaya said the whole resort is just pleasantly spread out...no huge walks like the moderates or value resorts.

From the Polynesian it is very easy to catch either the ferry at the TTC or the much smaller and fun launches from the pier at the Polynesian.

Whatever you request, have fun. You're going to a super resort.

I had request Niue for our December trip, only to find out that building was scheduled for rehab during our trip.

So I'm currently debating between Tokelau and Fiji!

Best wishes!

Oops, forgot...from that end of the resort, the walk to the TTC is 5-10 minutes. Niue a little longer than Tokelau of course.

Our family stayed in Tokelau and loved it. We were on the third floor and we were the first two room off of the side entance. We had requested that building and asked to be close to the GCH. Our rooms faced to quiet pool, was a quick walk to the GCH and also we could walk very easily to the laundry and one of the parking lots, which was great. We had a car and could bypass walking through the wholw resort to go out to the car.

If we stay at the Polynesain again, I would request the same building.
