Need point help

We recently bought at BLT that included developer points.

My DH called from the closing and booked our trip in June to SSR. We had it all figured out that we would use all but 1 point. When he hung up he said that was weird it actually calculated to us having 10 points left. We have added up all of the points several times and can not get DVC total. So, my husband called back and everything is the right dates right places right number of rooms and is still off 10 points.

Has anyone else ever had this problem or are we going to have a bad surprise when we get down there?

Make sure they are using your developer points and not your others!

yes it is DP because our points at BLT can not be used until after opening in August.

Developer points are the hardest thing to work with! (Dont get me wrong--LOVEEE that we got them) But I had a spreadsheet all laid out and everything and the lady kept saying "this sounds wrong but I cant help you because its a different team...theyll call you if its wrong". What? You just simply add the numbers of each night?

All I can say is make sure you are in the right season? I am taking a trip that switches between two seasons and it seemed to confuse them....

My stay in August came out the same.

I happen to be looking over the point charts and June is split seasons. Did you take this into consideration when you ran the points? June 1 - 10 is less points than June 11 - 30.

That is the only thing I could think of that could be the difference...Sorry!

Without knowing the room type, your travel dates and how many points you expected to need for your trip, it's hard to say if your numbers are correct or not. Did you use the 2009 points chart? The points are changing for 2010 so if you used the 2010 point chart then your total would be off.

I called them myself today and they told me no you have 11 points left well i just should have shut up but i insisted on going through point by point. Well it turns out for developer points they do the math in their head or on paper because the original cast member did not carry a one and just wrote in the notes we had 11 points left. It took a lot to convince the new cast member they were both wrong. But I did.

11 points doesn't get you much at SSR and I wouldn't want to book something and then have to pay or use my points for the difference because they were wrong.

So, all is OK now and we were right. But it would have been a nice perk. It just made me nervous.
